"As one of the previous winners of Restaurant of the Year at the Asian Curry Awards, my expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. I always like to start with poppadoms, and I was pleased to find these fresh, warm, and especially crispy. Accompanied by the usual assortment of chutneys, I was already satisfied. However, Coriander takes things a step further by also serving homemade tamarind and chili sauces. Both of these sauces are exquisite, and it's a shame they aren’t available for individual sale after the meal. The tamarind sauce is fresh, smooth, and inviting, while the chili sauce is richly flavorful—smooth, deep, velvety, smoky, and aromatic. Note the delayed 'kick' on the palate; though it’s not for the faint-hearted, I found the spiciness to be delightful. Coriander impresses not only with the quality of food but also with the presentation. Our appetizers arrived artfully arranged on black plates, adding drama to the experience. We ordered tandoori lamb, onion bhaji, shingara (exceptionally filled with spicy vegetables), scallops, and fish tikka. Standouts included the fish tikka—perfectly cooked, flaky fish with crispy skin. The seasoning was perfectly balanced and complemented the fish excellently. Similarly, the scallops were delicately seasoned before being cooked, creating a delightful dish. I would order all of these appetizers again without hesitation. We were almost too eager to enjoy our incredibly appetizing starters, leaving us with minimal room for the main course. However, following the strong recommendations from the Coriander team, we made room. We chose reshmi lamb, nicely charred and robustly flavored; shashi chicken cooked in tamarind sauce; and Khulna king prawns, tender and well-seasoned with a rich accompanying sauce. We also ordered garlic naan, Peshwari naan, and paneer, completing our second course. The dishes arrived in abundance, and although we tried to clear our plates, the generous portion sizes defeated us. The lamb was succulent, the chicken sauce was rich and flavorful, and the naans were light and fluffy—especially the garlic naan, which had added chili for extra flavor. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and despite feeling quite stuffed, it was so delicious that we asked for takeaway containers. Even though I live quite close to Coriander and Hasch End in London, I was more than happy to take the joys of Coriander home with me to savor again in the comfort of my own space!"

The atmosphere is great, and the Indian food is excellent. We only tried the vegetarian options, but everything was delicious. However, they should clarify what a masala papad actually is!

When I arrived many years ago in the united kingdom, I found a thing that I found quite puzzling (and later found out was quintessentially british) was a occupancy with the weather. how was your day? rainy? oh, how regrettable. had to be hard to run the dog at that time.

It’s rare for me to venture North, out of zone 2. But, an invitation to review Coriander in Hatch End was timely as my good friend The-Hedonist has a London base up that way. And, I like Indian food, especially at this time of year when I seem to get a craving for well-spiced food.

First time in the restaurant, one of the more pleasant experiences I had when it comes to Indian Restaurants. Food was on point, most hospitable staff, pleasant environment and most importantly amazing food, floor manger was really nice always looking on how to provide the best service. Highly recommended.

Food 4/5 Even though a few dishes were different than our expectations (also chat Puri is not a chat here. It's aloo wrapped in a puri), the food quality was good and tasted delicious. Ambiance 3.5/5 Better than expectations with respect to cost. Not too fancy, not too simple. Service 3.5/5 Quick, but nothing out of the ordinary. Money worth 4/5 It was 45 for the three of us for a 2 course meal with soft drinks. Voir le carte

Incredible place! The food and service were excellent, and they catered to all my needs. I was in London on holiday, and the staff were very generous and friendly. We received outstanding service throughout our visit. We enjoyed dishes featuring chicken, and the dining experience was fantastic with great cooking. The bartender also mixed up some wonderful drinks for us—everything from liquor for me and my partner to an electric lemonade for my son. The soothing music added to the overall ambiance. It was truly an amazing experience!

Coriander as a herb is quite similar to marmite. People either love it or hate it and some even say that it is based on genetics too. So, I have to my thank parents yet again for making sure that I love coriander. Why the preamble about coriander? Well, the latest restaurant I was invited to visit was called Coriander. I was grateful that Humayun Hussain, food consultant and future restaurant owner, got in touch about a trip here. After a few emails back and forth and date changes, Laura and I scheduled a visit in for a Wednesday night curry session.

"The venue, food, service, value and portions are all 10/10. I absolutely love the whole vibe of this restaurant, it feels so authentic and the staff are all so lovely. My first encounter here was a first date back in 2015; we have visited many times since but to point out a few special ones, we returned to celebrated our pregnancy news, our engagement and then most recently when that date became my husband, we came back to Sorrentina with our family to celebrate our wedding day. The organisation for our party of 25 was impeccable, the food all came out in a structured and timely manner. The quality of the food was incredible as it always is fresh, authentic Italian food cooked to perfection Sorrentina is the perfect little spot for a romantic dinner, a family meal or a larger party meal. Sentimental feelings aside, I truly cannot fault it in any way. Needless to say we’ll be back! But more importantly, the feedback from our 20+ guests that hadn’t been here before was that they all really enjoyed the food, the staff were lovely and that they’d definitely return. Some have even gone and recommended it to their friends and families local people supporting a small local business! A humongous thank you to Tony, Emilio, Adriano and all the rest of the lovely staff, there wasn’t any other place we’d have wanted to spend our day."
