"for two middle-aged alternatives, who winged a journey through Scotland, this restaurant was a very happy accident. we had gone through several locals for inverness and found ourselves on the look for dinner at 20 o'clock. without reservation, several other restaurants turned us off. Thank you! from local whiskys to appetizers to dinner until dessert we were delighted with the entire experience in the riverside restaurant. the personal was attentive. the sister/owner works at the service. she was very courteous, friendly and professional. the brother/owner, the chef chef, was very talented. Hubby had laughs, while I, who eats rarely red meat, had to try the prestigious butdeen angus. the brotpudding was a really big finale to a wonderful meal. if someone is close to inverness, they don't leave the dinge as fast as we do. make them an dinner reservation for theside river restaurant. you will be as worthy as us."

"This small restaurant was bustling, with a line out the door even on a rainy Wednesday night, which speaks volumes. The pizza was delicious and the dessert was huge, luckily we had agreed to share it before it arrived. Overall, the meal was excellent, with a price range of £10–20 per person. The service and atmosphere both received top ratings of 5. We highly recommend trying the Tiramisu and 4 Cheese Pizza."

"Visited this place twice during our short stay in Inverness. Beautiful ice cream at a reasonable price with really good staff. The bonus being that it was open until 10pm so you could use it for dessert after having a meal out. Lots of flavours to choose from and would recommend the Ferrero Roche and triple chocolate, hot drinks available as well. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area"

"Amazing lunch with great vegetarian/vegan options. The courgetti starter was fantastic and I've never had anything like it. It's lovely to go somewhere where the chef has put in some extra effort to come up with good and unique vegetarian/vegan options rather than the same old thing most other restaurants provide. Great cocktail list too!"

"Absolutely awful service and treatment from the owner Norman. My partner and I had a voucher from the highland hospice to enjoy 2 courses from the early bird menu only to be told it “clearly states in big writing lunch menu and is not to be used on our early bird, we don’t make enough money from these charity vouchers” with a patronising and rude attitude. The voucher states lunch voucher 2 courses from early bird. The early bird states 12 5:45 and we arrived at quarter past 5 so I don’t see what time we could’ve used this. We were embarrassed in front of the restaurant as he walked off while we were trying to question it, asking if there was a separate lunch/early bird menu (there isn’t) he arrogantly stated “I don’t come to work to argue with customers”. We also paid to win this voucher and are now out of pocket. The young servers we dealt with were pleasant and understanding, it’s a shame the owner lets the place down, I’d urge anyone to stay away."
