"Comins is absolutely at the top of my list of places to go right now. It's a very tranquil space with an array of delicious options, and good social distancing for those of us feeling a bit nervous at the moment. All the essential deets: You DON'T have to be a tea expert (but if you are you'll be delighted). The wonderful staff are happy to pick something for you, or go through the options with you in as much detail as you want (I always ask for a surprise, and it's always great) Expect to want two dishes and dessert if you're going for lunch, as the portion sizes are conservative (don't worry, they're priced accordingly); it's also good for snacking, grazing, and brunch There are vegan and gluten free options (cake options vary, the Dal is GF (and VG) without the scone) Solo sippers are welcome; I recommend sitting in the cosy nook at the back. Main tea room looks wheelchair accessible but the bathrooms (unisex) are not (they're down some narrow stairs) Kids will love green matcha cookies, but I don't think there's much here to keep them entertained Most teas can be steeped again several times, water is provided in fancy heat retaining jugs When I'm feeling overwhelmed this is the perfect place to sit, breathe, sip, and have properly tasty, soul nourishing food. When I'm relaxed it's a chill place to catch up with friends, or to treat myself to a ton of teas and maybe listen to a podcast! Don't forget to pick up some loose leaf tea while you're there or online, it makes working from home (or anywhere) SO much better."

Beautiful café and tea shop with so much choice. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, as well as very generous with their time. Very recommended if you are in the area.

Wonderful Darjeeling tea purchased online. So fresh and lively and cheap. Thank you for your great work in getting these extraordinary teas that take me beyond the usual tea drink experience.

The tea at this restaurant is always fantastic, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Whenever I'm in town, I make sure to stop by. It's one of the few places that truly knows how to brew a good cup of tea.

As a Taiwanese, I’m glad I can taste Taiwanese tea in the UK. It makes me feel like going back to Taiwan and already visited many times. Their dessert is good, and I like scones with black tea. Gyoza is good with oolong or green tea. The price is valuable, and the service is friendly. Highly recommend this!!!!!!!

Fantastic tea shop hidden in plain sight! Came across it on a Monday lunchtime, not too busy unlike some coffee shops a stones throw away. The amount of tea is astounding! I went for the 'Ruby Black ' which was devine. Also opted for the veg gyoza which were also beautiful, the sriracha sauce adds a great choice for a spicy kick! Staff were friendly and informative, not too intrusive with the choices and explained the brewing times that each tea we chose had. Loved the fact they left you with a pot of hot water to refill as you went along! The cake choice was also lovely the ginger cake was gorgeous! Cant recommend enough if you want a delightful change from the generic coffee shops all over...

I had a fantastic experience at Comins Tea. It's clear that the owners are truly passionate about their craft and pay attention to every detail. We stopped by for lunch on a weekday, and while reservations aren't mandatory, they're recommended. The restaurant was pleasantly quiet when we arrived, and we both enjoyed the pork dumplings, Asian salad, daal, and our chosen teas. The food was absolutely delicious, and the tea selection was impressive. For dessert, we tried the matcha green tea lolly, which was not overly sweet but wonderfully creamy. Don't worry if you're unfamiliar with brewing tea, as they provide instructions on how to get the most out of your drink by re-brewing it. It's defi...

Wow what an experience! I got in contact with these guys whilst trying to find a place to take my tea obsessed girlfriend for lunch. I received an email back from Michelle who gave me all the info I needed and also arranged for a candle to be put in our cake. We went for the two person sharing board with a different tea each. Everything about the food was great, the whole tea experience with a timer was brilliant. We were given a great amount of info from the waitress about the tea and how it was made. I actually drank more tea in the hour I was there than I have done I’ve the last ten years. If you’re a fan of tea, this is the place to go! The only thing we felt the place needed was a tiny...

Myself and my partner visited Comins Tea during a visit to Bath for my birthday in April. It's an absolutely lovely place, that I'd happily recommend to anyone. Michelle and Rob are sweethearts, who are passionate and knowledgeable about the tea they stock, and the traditional ways they are served. Everything on the menu is reasonable, unique and most importantly delicious! If you are a green tea fan I'd highly recommend the Matcha White Chocolate Cookie, and the Matcha Ice Cream. We tried nearly everything on the menu, and these plus the Sri Lankan Egg Hopper, and the Indian Black Rice Porridge were our favourites. It's a calm, relaxing space that we felt welcome to spend time in. Thank you...
