"When Xiao Xiang was still in the original location in Uhlenhorster Mozartstraße, he has been part of my Chinese favorite restaurants in Hamburg for many years because of its authentic Cantonese cuisine. At the first lunch at the Lehmweg the service weakened something. But that was just after the opening and was probably due to the fact that both sites were still operated in parallel. However, during the recent visit the restaurant presented itself in top form – we enjoyed the perfect Chinese dinner. This was mainly due to the fact that we are not sneaking German-individual, but Chinese-collectively on the round turntable. I met with a German-Chinese friend in advance and chose with her a colorful cross-section of the Xiao Xiang offer. Pigs filled with sprouts I have taken the spelling and descriptions from the menu. As the main food, which could also test all seven mitesses, we ordered: – ducknuts crispy fried entrench with Chinese salt and pepper – canton grill plate: duck and pig with crispy skin – roasted Tong Choi green water spinach with garlic – lubricated eggplants with minced meat. I should add that I myself are usually not a pronounced dim-sum fan. The excellent quality of these foods in Xiao Xiang makes it slow. The hour of billing was stress-free: The invoice for our à la carte ordered 13 ! Gänge plus desserts of individual participants as well as various water, beers, wines, sakes and snacks amounted to 171,39 euros, i.e. almost 24,50 euros per person. China restaurants are not necessarily places that come when you think of a particularly polite operation. The service at Xiao Xiang was not only effective, but also very friendly, as with almost all previous visitors. In the end we had a nice chat with the operators who explained the China specialties in the shop window in the entrance area. It's a great evening for the next time. Hopefully also in a bigger round, because this is the best way to enjoy the palate delights of the Cantonese cuisine and especially the Xiao Xiangs."
