"a good discovery in the soup. We were visiting the pobal hardware store and we didn't know much about the area. looking at the network we delight in this restaurant. old renovated farmhouse with a spectacular oak on the terrace. site specializing in rice, has not many more seconds dishes. rice must be ordered in advance as is logical. We were friends and ordered rice with bogavante, rice with mushrooms and mollejas and rice with cod and spinach. the one who doesn't get the rice requested for carrillas and they were very good. the rice surprised us by its explosive flavor the fungi with smelts, it was also good cod and it was quite the bogavante. I had spent time and it was pretty dry. Plus, I didn't have much drip. curious, when it looks like it's the star dish. also very rich croquettes, homemade and cous-cous octopus. It is obligatory to leave room for dessert, which were very rich. We were surprised to find in the wine letter a red bird of the berry at very good price. as a suggestion, when you call to book, they send you to a letter in thefork and for my surprise they have not bothered to update it. "Once again, we had the pleasure to enjoy the food of this superb and hidden restaurant located in the Enkarterri area. 0 Km local products, lovely meat and delicious fresh fish, but really fresh fish; all of them cooked with the knowledge gathered since many many years by Loli’s, a self-made great cook. The cellar will positively surprise you; Josu has slowly but steadily created an astonishingly good one on which your only concern will be to find a wine that matches your taste. Never mind, all of them are excellent “caldos”, get Josu’s advice. Bear in mind that food for Basques is more than feed, it is a pleasure to share with your best friends or family or, even, business partners. That is why you should take it easy, do not worry, do not be in a hurry enjoy their company, and, if you are in a hurry, note that in Bilbao you will find fast-food of all kinds. In here, take your time to taste Loli’s dishes. Our last meal included marinated cod, “gambas and camarons”, slides of octopus and a freshly fished “rey” to finish this superb meal with an ancient local dessert called “tostadas. It is worth to get off the beaten track to enjoy an excellent meal."
