The most important thing: the food was 1A! I had a grilled Dorade, my fellow guests TunFisch Steak and Black Angus Steak. Everything was excellent...

The Cavos is pure pleasure! Feels a guest with friends, very attentive hosts. Very delicious food, cozy atmosphere. The terrace is a dream. You always feel a little like on holiday! Definitely a recommendation! But the top quality has its price!

Nice location, next to the lake. When the weather good is, you can sit outside under the sky... the chef's creations are really delicious, the dishes well-balanced. Very good wine list, especially the "Vivlia Chora" white wine! The desserts are o.k., the prices fair

This restaurant could definitely not be categorized as a vegan restaurant and their standard menu does not have vegan options. Nevertheless, it is very good and if you simply tell them that you would like them to create something that is vegan and yummy, they will suddenly be in their element.Great experience!

The waiters come across as very arrogant. ... and by that, I mean the majority ... The service should appreciate the guest and not seem arrogant. The food is normal. Excessive for a normal meal at the end. Basically, the view of the lake is very nice, but the canoes disturb and significantly impair the view of the lake.

In this Greek restaurant at the Baldeny lake you have a real holiday feeling. Although it is in town you feel like vein in the country side with a nice view to the lake. The great food adds to the experience. We visited the restaurant with a group of 25 people and are perfectly serviced although the restaurant was fully booked. Food is great and there is something for anybody on the menu

We've been here twice in the last month. The food is of high quality and the service is friendly and accommodating. We had mixed appetizers that came out tapas style, every small plate was delicious and we finished them all. Mains were also delicious and well presented. Definitely a must in Essen. Ask for a table on the back terrace. There are great views of the river and it has a beach-like feel.

Placed on the shore of the Ruhr-River, there is a nice terrace for summer days. A lot of space and natural light in the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful stuff. The dishes are fine and well prepared. Wide choise of the meals from the mediterranian cuisine, large and good wine list. Try the greek one they recommend - really tasty! All in one - good place to have fine dinner with friends/family because of the nice location and food.Also parking in front of the door!

Although the restaurant positions itself way above average Essen restaurant and attracts wealthy Germans, we were very disappointed during our visit in May. The service you'll get will feel like waiters give you huge favor. We had to ask for child seat, although it was clear that 1 yo baby cannot seat on its own. The waiter could not even put it close to the table and the mother had to ask for help. When the baby was loud, the waiter pretended he could not hear us. We got additional drinks that we did not order. Waiting time for the main course was longer than 1.5 hours. The various fish dishes that we ordered were all very salty.
