"It is set in an old coal mine but this made it a unique environment. The food was beautifully presented and the waiter was genuinely keen to make our stay enjoyable. They do a surprise menu where you let the waiter know things you do...or don 't like e.g. Fish and the chef makes a surprise for you. My husband really enjoyed his courses. I went for the listed menu and wished I 'd been braver as it made it more exciting not knowing what you were going to get. The bread was delicious and the menu was grown up and refined."

The restaurant is housed in a former industrial unit from the Zollveriein coal mine. With high vaulted ceilings and big sturdy tabled the restaurant is fantastically themed. The food was great and German beer amazing!

Unique place fine dining Housed in an old compressor house. There are still old pumps and tanks decorating the place. A truly unique venue for a dinner after visiting the UNESCO sight next door. Fancy food decent prices

the restaurant is located in a former industrial plant of the coal mine zollveriein. with high arched ceilings and large robust tables, the restaurant is fantastically settled. eating was great and the German beer amazing!

The atmosphere in this location is quite unique. Dining in an old factory on this high level seems impossible anywhere else. The staff is friendly and quick. The food is fair priced and tastes very good. I can recommend this place.

It was a very different experience to first of all visit Zollverein and on top of it have a great lunch in one of former industrial buildings. I had Ricotta Ravioli which was really nicely prepared. The bread they served deserves a special note. The...first impression I had was an expensive restaurant but the price level was not too bad. It was a fairly quiet day and perhaps that was the reason for a bit sluggish service.
