The food was the best I have tasted in a long time; food is cooked there and then by one chef so allow good time! Absolutely worth it.

Really nice place, staff were very polite helped me on what to order! I didn’t wait long for my food to come! And it tasted great. Looking forward to my second visit. :

Food looked nice but we only received one starter in 70 mins. Had to leave to get to the cinema. Service is incredibly slow and food is over priced. Don't go if you don't have a lot of cash and all night to spend.

The service at this restaurant has always been slow, but the food was once excellent. Unfortunately, they have recently made the decision to get rid of their brunch menu and now only serve pricey toast. It's disappointing because their vegan brunch used to be top-notch and my boyfriend and I enjoyed their coffee, making this place a frequent spot for us. We are deeply disappointed by this change.

i had lunch here today and unfortunately found the whole experience fairly unpleasant frustrating. the service was painfully slow the guy was completely unattentive to his customers. the food was fine tasty enough, but definitely not worth the price. i would not recommend eating here unfortunately, nor would i return, especially when there are so many other great spots in Brixton. oh and it's cash only.

To begin with, the server appeared completely disconnected from reality. He was extremely slow and struggled to comprehend our requests. Furthermore, the prices were excessively high. Spending 4 pounds on a tiny slice of cake that was not even tasty was a huge letdown. This is certainly not the ideal spot for a coffee break. I will not be coming back and strongly recommend others to avoid this restaurant.

We chose this restaurant for an anniversary celebration. We received a warm welcome from the chef but after it began to fill up the service became non-existent. We hadn’t realised this was a tapas type restaurant but were happy to try a number of dishes. The four we selected were tasty but very small for the price which ranged from £7 to over £9. Our bill for four small dishes and two large glasses of wine was £47.50 which we felt was very dear.

I visited this restaurant on a cold and windy day to warm up with some hot drinks. However, the service was very disappointing. I ordered a pot of breakfast tea, which came out promptly, but I had to wait a few more minutes for a cup and had to request milk separately. When it came time to pay, I had to ask twice for the bill, which took 15 minutes to arrive. Another group arrived after us and was served before us, even though we had been waiting longer. Overall, the experience was a waste of time and not worth it.

This was our first visit to Brixton and admittedly, we were lucky to get a table at all in this cafe, and what a pleasant surprise. They are of the ‘we will find you a seat, leave it with us’ school of thought and on a busy Saturday, they squeezed us into a tiny space but quickly moved us onto a roomier table when one became available. They blinked twice when I said I didn’t want the bagel under my Eggs Benedict was I sure? but then, with a Southern European shrug, their body language suggested the crazy woman could have what the crazy woman wanted.
