"We ordered 3x dirty chips, calow burger, SFC calow burger and a chicken wrap, collected them, got back, opened them up, all the chips was the same size, so we paid extra for the same as a small, anyway the chips themselves wasn't exactly dirty they just had a few herbs over them, we couldn't taste anything else but herbs, then the burgers, they was like cardboard, so hard a dry, then they didn't have the sauce we wanted, so just got loads of garlic mayo on too which I'm glad he did as it helped me swallow the thing, wouldn't recommend this place for burgers if they are all like that, disappointed."

Recently, I visited Calow Fish Bar and I must say that I have noticed a positive change after reading a bad review. The fish and chips are no longer soaked in grease and the Thai food is delicious. Keep up the good work!

If you want lightning quick service go elsewhere. This is a small chippy run to exacting standards and as such most things are cooked to order no warm ups or kept warm chips here! Greasy chips? The vast majority of customers like them as they are, nothing worse than a dry chip! Friendly service, good food what's not to like?

Having recently moved to the area, we decided to give the local fish and chip shop a try. The chips were delicious and not greasy at all. The owner gave us a warm welcome and recommended that we download their app, which allows for a wider selection when ordering in advance. We will definitely be giving it a try in the future. We recently visited this fish and chip shop, which had new owners. Unfortunately, the chips were very greasy, as if they had been precooked and then reheated in the fryer upon ordering. The fish was also undercooked, with runny batter still present inside and overall quite greasy. Despite dining during dinner time, there were no other customers in the shop, which may have affected the quality of the food. On a positive note, the establishment was clean, the staff were polite, and ordering online through an app was convenient for saving time.

Have ordered many times from Calow Fish Bar and have never been disappointed as yet. The food is always freshly cooked and hot, and while this can sometimes mean you have to wait an extra couple minutes in peak times, it is worth the wait and I usually order on the app anyway which avoids this problem. The owners are very nice and friendly and in addition to the usual things you'd expect to find on a chippy menu they are always experimenting with new items definitely try the salt and chili nuggets! All in all a great local chippy that I will be continuing to visit for the foreseeable future.
