I tried the beetroot and quinoa burger from the vegan menu. It was delicious. The staff were also very accommodating for my son, who has multiple allergies. Voir le carte

The restaurant serves delicious traditional cuisine in a picturesque setting. The gardens provide a lovely spot to relax before or after your meal. The service is also very good.

the calf’s head is one of the best pubs I have for years. it mixes traditional pub-like atmosphere and healthy eating with relaxed atmosphere. perfect for drinks, bar snacks or even a hotel room is the calf’s head briliant.

My husband found this pub using the Happy Cow app. It is in a lovely village just outside Clitheroe. Plenty of parking spaces. There’s a few areas to eat in including a lovely walled garden. Great views of Pendle Hill. There’s a separate vegan menu with plenty of choice. I opted for the mushroom stroganoff with a choice of rice, chips or both!! I chose both, who wouldn’t. You could tell it was made to order as it took a while but was worth the wait. Portions huge. My non vegan husband opted for the homemade cheese and onion pie which he enjoyed. On the dessert menu, again a great choice. We shared an enormous jam roly poly with ice cream. I’d definitely eat here again. Voir le carte

Called into Calf’s Head with family today. They have a vegan menu with a variety of vegan starters, main meals and desserts. I opted for olives to start with and my husband chose the garlic mushrooms, both starters were lovely. I then chose the Quinoa, beetroot and edamame burger which I really enjoyed, the burgers and bun was delicious, it also came with chips and a fresh side salad. There was so much food I had the take some home for later. The only qualm I had was the burger didn’t come with any kind of sauce, mayo or salsa. I was here three times last year. had never had a bad meal or experience. eating was always very good and cannot complain about the size of the portions. good selection of dresses on the menu as well as daily specialties. at my last visit I ordered the sirloin steak. I asked for my rareness. the first impression on the first taste was slightly overlaid, but as I cut into the steak, it just got tastier and tastier. the perfrect country pub. the calf’s head in worston nr. clitheroe is the perfect country pub. a traditional inn, located in beautiful landscape at the foot of the pendle hill, combine a country house hotel, restaurant and pub on a website. the walled gardens are wonderful, with a stream flowing through them, complete with habitable escapes. they can eat in the pub, outside in the garden, or in the huge winter garden. there is a great selection of foods, and they take a pick-N-mix approach where they like any combination they like. there is something for everyone.
