"We had a dinner there one time during our 3 day stay in Bretten and I wasn't impressed at all. We were sat at a table with another couple, which was absolutely fine until they started mixing the orders around... I have ordered the grilled vegetable...salad with buffalo mozzarella and my friend the scampi pasta. The shrimps were recently defrosted and the salad was nothing to write home about, besides the price. As far as I can remember there were 3 desserts on the menu semifredo, pana cotta and tiramisu, first one was available with ice cream, so no semifredo at all, and the last 2 were coming from the fridge (we had the last 2). Maybe we should have ordered pizzas? The restaurant is boasting a large collection of wines, but then I have a hint: if the staff doesn't speak English good enough, don't try to explain to foreigners in elaborate German which wine to choose, just let them study the wine menu for a while and don't rush with the drinks order... Well, the interior was really nice and it was busy, so I am prepared to give it another try if I happen to be in Bretten again. After all it wasn't that bad, it just was too pricey for what we had."

"The Hotel Filion with its Greek restaurant is centrally located in the heart of Bretten. Right on the historic market square. Here you can enjoy outdoors in the warm season, overlooking the jewels old buildings around, and in winter in the two-storey, noble restaurant. It resembles a small English pub, with its large mahogany and brass counter and around small, cozy tables. A staircase leads up where you can also eat with a view of the city centre. This day we had no intention to eat, but a bit of hunger was there, and the parking ticket lasted 30 minutes. Our view fell on the big table that leaned at the door and offered about 10 dinners. All between 9 and 12 euros. That could be the right thing, and in the hope that it will take us, we enter the place. Rarely so kindly greeted. Around the bar the tables were occupied so we were accompanied. We ordered twice food with rice and salad, served for 8, 90 euros. The mixed salad with baguette was served together with the drinks. And when I just wanted to grab it, the main dinner came, dressed nicely. That was right, and it tasted very good. I've never had such a good big. That's it. Very satisfied we could pay immediately. A unique service had been, and had expired exactly three minutes before the parking ticket when we arrived in the parking lot nearby. The restaurant writes that it prepares dishes with many regional ingredients and according to original Greek cuisine. I take more time and try one of the fish dishes offered. But on this day everything worked wonderfully, and I want to give 4 stars."

"Upgrade: Ordered yesterday. New pizza baker. Tonight again cramps and abdominal pain. Not only me, but also my wife. Last time. Real people, have several reviews here. So it's not a slipper or the like. Who says the best pizza in the world still seems to lift his snipers. And the world seems to be a pane. I'm here more often. But I think the pizza is badly due to tomato sauce from the pack."

"Angenehmes Lokal mit hübschem rustikalen Ambiente. Man kann auf zwei Ebenen sitzen, an kleinen gemütlichen Tischen oder auch zusammengestellt an einer Tafel. Es ist nicht laut im Lokal und man kann sich gemütlich unterhalten. DieSalate sind sehr lecker zubereitet und ein Beilagensalat lässt schon fast keine Wünsche offen. Ich hatte einen frischen Wolfsbarsch mit geschmorten Cocktailtomaten und leckeren Thymian Kartöffelchen, einfach nur super Lecker. Auch die Pizzen sind sehr zu empfehlen!"

"On the occasion of our high-time day, after a long time, we booked a champagne beer-offerte in the Löwenthor, with overnight stay at the hotel Roter Hahn. My wife and I agreed that this was once again a very special culinary highlight. Of course, starting from the extraordinary ambience of the old room, from the very friendly, extremely attentive, yet always discreetly occurring service staff to the madness eating with several courses. We often go to eat with more or less larger or small reviews, but here there was absolutely NOT to criticize or improve, each gang was a perfect taste experience, have rarely eaten so well! In particular we would like to mention the delicious Bratapfelpunsch and the exceptional cinnamon Caipirinha. As far as we have learned later, the owner, Mr Jens von Taden, has cooked very personally this evening.Mr von Taden, once again thank you very much for this great evening! !Our approach of about 60km has once again been rewarded, so we are definitely happy to come back.Love greetings to the entire team of the Lionthor and to Frau Müller at Hotel Roter Hahn."
