absolutely delicious! we had the raven that was a good size for lunch, and the pilger. it was divine! highly recommended.

absolutely excellent. one of my fav restaurants in nottingham, each dish was simply super. the personal was brilliant and cannot wait to be back!

Finally visited for dinner and was so impressed. Great service, lovely environment and delicious food. The rice pudding was amazing! Will definitely return.

Had a take away from here. Beautiful food and arrived in no time.. would highly recommend! 10/10. Non of my family are vegetarian but they all loved it too!

Love this place great food and great service. I had the lasagne and the charred lemon and maple sponge pudding, my friend had the goat cheese tart and the birriyani. Could not fault any of it. Will definitely be back again

last night we went to cafe roya for the first time to celebrate my birthday. I would no longer have asked: incredibly tasty eating, warm and relaxing atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. I even got a glass fizz in the house for mine. it is the best restaurant experience we have had for a long time. thank you cafe roya!

So difficult to find a fine dining Vegan restaurant of this Calibre in London let alone Nottingham. I wish we met you to tell you personally Roya, that your food is just divine. None of the usual stodgy food available at most vegan restaurants. Exciting...recipes with the most unlikely mix of ingredients which looked as beautiful as it tasted. Love the Mexican decor too and what a fascinating cloakroom. We will be back when we visit next but in the meantime how about opening a place in London!

Two quotes from my notoriously fussy daughter: This is the most beautiful food I have ever seen. I didn't realise how delicious vegetarian food could be. High praise indeed (although what does that say about my cooking). We ordered takeout for my birthday today and...it was absolutely delicious, packed in fantastic compostable packaging. The flavours are delicate and complement each other amazingly. The presentation for a take out is beautiful. Even a mistake in provision of the order (some of it was missing) was handled brilliantly and the cafe went above and beyond to resolve it.

We have been regular customer of Cafe Roya for many years. Our previous visit wasn't great but we decided to give it another go. Unfortunately we were let down again. On arrival, we weren't made to feel welcome and despite an empty restaurant we were...given a table in the corner where we were sat facing a blacked out window. We were the first customers of the evening, yet still had a long wait for food. Nobody asked if the food was okay or if we wanted more drinks. We were sat with our finished plates for 15 minutes before anyone took them away, despite the waitresses passing us several times and serving other guests around us. We decided to leave early as we simply didn't feel welcome.
