Excellent food and brilliant service especially by Ricardo who couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely recommend coming here for a meal.

Came here for lunch, fast and friendly service. Absolutely LOVE seeing Ricardo on the greeting desk, such a warming and welcoming atmosphere.

We had lunch at Centerparcs Penrith Cafe Rouge. Ricardo was an exceptional host. It was my birthday and our family meal was made special. A lovely spot to have brunch.

Some of our group enjoyed their meal and some didn’t as said theirs wasn’t hot enough. I found steak to be the best option although all were overcooked but tasty. Staff friendly and helpful.

Ricardo was an absolute pleasure to be served by. He ensured we had everything we wanted and made our experience throughly enjoyable. Fantastic food and fantastic service. Would definitely recommend. P.s thank you Ricardo for sorting our wine, that was a special touch

Food very disappointing, chicken Caesar salad and duck confit, both dry and overcooked. Chicken dry and hard, duck cooked and reheated, potatoes shrivelled and overcooked. Food is expensive and very poor quality on this visit. Not sure if chef was having a bad day or whether the food prep has deteriorated since we last visited.

Food was good, the kitchen let the meal down by re-serving the same greasy onion rings that had already been rejected. Have to say that the steaks very well nicely cooked. However, the real star of the evening was Ricardo, his professionalism, knowledge and friendly manner made the occasion worthwhile. If I had a restaurant, I would immediately hire him. Thank you Ricardo.

Our first day of our break at Center Parcs, and we decided to kill time before gaining access to our villa by having lunch at Café Rouge. In days gone by, we used to frequent branches of this café regularly and French Onion Soup was always a favourite. This time though, it felt overpriced and poor quality, getting it's flavour from cheap ingredients and topped with a sad looking slice of baguette with a few strands of cheese, barely melted. A serving of Sweet Potato Fries was tasty, but overpriced. Service was initially brusque but, on a change of server, we were welcomed and looked after. All in all, a disappointing experience, a very light lunch but at a heavy cost and rather unsatisfying.

food was alright very pricy for what it was but captive audience it’s such a scenic spot right in the middle of the village centre. its staff is what lets it down. when we arrived the restaurant was a bit of a mess admittedly it was very busy it took a while to be seated and the main larger set manager was stood at the entrance (host? chatting to people and didn’t really seem intrested in the guests at all also didn’t seem interested in helping his staff that seemed to be suffering running all over the place when we was finally seated a staff member had to wipe down a highchair for us, I did feel sorry for a poor girl who was our server she was lovely and very apologetic about the wait could...
