"The menu seems promising and the food was delicious, so the chef is to be recommended. Our waiter was also nice and welcoming, until someone else came around asking for the best bottle of wine or the most expensive one, diverting his attention. But ok, I get it. What I don 't get is how the restaurant 's owner, I presume (signore Matteo? , thinks it is fine to make a video call with his daughter in high volume, so that everyone around, including us, can hear her high pitch voice and their conversation, and also clearly see her on the phone if we happen to look at the entrance, where he was sitting. How disrespectful! Also, even though our card worked fine everywhere else in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France (etc , here it mysteriously didn 't work and we had to pay in cash (funny, I also heard the waiter whispering to his boss that someone else had also payed in cash... Faulty credit card reader, a way to avoid taxes?.... I don 't know, but that 's rather bizarre when today 's technology and credit cards work so well... . Final bonus: we were completely bombarded by mosquitoes, which may be normal here by the lake, but maybe some candles or anti-mosquitoes electric devices would be advisable. Can 't really recommend this restaurant as the overall experience left us with a bitter taste. Not the chef 's fault, though."

Was there with my girlfriend. Had the steak on a pepper sauce and she had bolognese. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Totally worth it. Awesome night.

Enjoyed lunch at Cafè Retrò, the decor is quite different from what you usually find in the area. Quite a large much menu with choice of reasonably priced meal to more expensive and fancy one. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Will be back.

1st evening very good service with a very helpful waitress and very good food. The 2nd evening poor service. The waiter threw the plates at us and barely spoke to us. We couldn't even order him wine. The food still very good but we are very disappointed with this man's service

Très bon restaurant, nous avons passés un bon moment en famille, serveur sympa, prix qui ne choquent pas, nous sommes en Suisse!! Les tarifs sont moins élevés que dans un bistro au centre de Genève! Donc, une note à 200 chf pour 4 reste raisonnable! Je recommande ! Carte des vins correcte!

We were traveling with a group of 14 and our opinions were unanimous! This place had great service food, nicely presented at a reasonable price...it was so fabulous , we ate there three nights in a row; why chance perfection! I can't say enough...good things...you will not be disappointed. Loved the artwork on the back wall too!
