Sometimes, as a visitor, you can see what types of games can have a SKULPTUR, because you can marvel in and around the Museum Liebighaus! It is a place where dream and reality seem to merge into each other... Man is known as the only species for his works of art. They can be very different. After centuries, thousands mostly do not even know the names of those who created these works and yet they have not lost their radiance until today! Whether it is Gods, saints or people who are more or less sympathetic. A plastic can always be seen as the time when it was made. This is how the “language” they are supposed to convey comes far away, yes strange, but who can ever resist a smiling child... The Liebigmuseum goes back to the pen who has been a collector of sculptures. He gave the city of Frankfurt his villa in Sachsenhausen and the inventory. The works there comprise all currents between the ancient Egyptian artifacts, over ancient cultures to modernism. We have really fascinated the natural, anatomical human representations, because we had the feeling of not being confronted with a “doll”, but an illusion of realism! But here too: touching is not allowed! This house is one of the museum banks I have described. It is quite far from the ÖVPN network. We used about 15 minutes walk from the U railway station Swiss square. As it looks like parking lots here, I can't answer, but the few we saw were already occupied in the early morning. Now back to the museum: if you approach the property, the visitor already discovers some very interesting sculptures in the front garden, which you don't see directly) that they are replicas. Among them, the “Ariadne on the Panther” is certainly known as a keyword. If you move further through the park, you can make his discoveries there, which will gradually be set as photos, including further apotropaion: D). If you want to feel a little bit of pleasure, there is a chance to take something in the connected museum café. But the prices are in themselves, so we did not. The wardrobes and toilets are located in the UG. They are numerous and the latter are small but clean. Unfortunately, during our stay some of the rooms were closed because of preparations for another special exhibition, which we found a pity, especially because there was no indication on the homepage. Everything could be nice and good if... in fact, in all museums on the museum's bank in Frankfurt the photographing was allowed, but there was a hack here: as the exhibits of the exhibition "Illusion" were to be seen between the regular pieces, the responsible people ruled out this from the outset! Very many things we really liked, even the price of just 7 €, which are worth spending! The collection includes several thousand exhibits including which are worth more attention, because there is much to discover, even if during our stay only the ground floor was to be visited and not the whole: for curious here a reference to the homepage: [here link] The Liebigmuseum is already one of our favorites, but because of the above-mentioned disadvantages, I prefer a star, yet it was a mention at this point as my 1100. Contribution was worth!"

After the detailed visit of the Liebieghaus and the same visit of the two interesting exhibitions, a break was absolutely necessary. I didn't regret the arrival at the Café in Liebieghaus. The quiet atmosphere in the tastefully decorated guest rooms is particularly pleasant. It is self-service. The selection of dishes and cakes is appealing and large. I can highly recommend the Grieskuchen. The price-performance ratio is also true.

Delicious and delicious is the very special offer of food and drinks at the Café des Liebighauses, on the left of the entrance to the museum, coming from the Schaumainkai. Worth a visit and no secret tip with magnificent rooms in the style of the Neo Renaissance and garden squares. Delicious can be purchased from the buffet, also the special lunch table invites you to stay and enjoy! My photos show the cosy ambience, even without a museum visit possible!
