"From all restaurants and cafes with outdoor seats in the central and pedestrian street Rue de Romont the most famous place of the "Café du Midi" must be with a long tradition and mentioned in all guides. Once I had only one cardinal beer here that cost a little more than in other places in the same row, and once I came here for dinner. The 'Café du Midi', which also has a pleasant interior with lots of wood, is known especially for its cheese dishes, especially fondue in its Fribourg version 'moitié-moitié'. Feel more like eating meat, but still trying a local specialty I wanted to try for a 'Cordon Bleu with Vacherin Fribourgeois '. With him I drank some local wines, a Vully smoke that I liked to produce less than the white wine on this hill at the lake of Morat. The special AOP cheese from the region, which differs from the much softer Vacherin Mont d 'Or AOP, was produced in the Jura vaudois. It was good, more than the rather bland vegetables or the very thin French fries that accompanied it."
