Went for Sunday lunch and was so impressed tried fish and chips on Friday, absolutely great could not fault a thing, so good have booked for Christmas Day lunch. Will definitely be trying the pensioner specials (2 for £10 including cup of tea) they are doing at end of February.Sue C.

TA lists this pub under Sheffield but it's about 3 miles east of Dinnington in the nice little village of Woodsetts.I ate there because it was one of the few in the area that does food Monday evening. Food is classic pub grub, hearty and good standard though there are few frills but good old fashioned value. Voir le carte

Although the menu is typical of pub food available at most places the quality of the food is freshly made and cooked to order thus delivering flavour and tasty dishes. The fish, steak and gammon dishes to name some are delicious and pie night on Thursday is worth trying as they are again freshly made and cooked to order, can recommend the lamb and apricot and steak.The staff are very polite and friendly.The dining room provides a comfortable atmosphere without loud music.

We called in for lunch whilst walking our dogs on Easter Sunday. The pub was hosting a charity event for a local charity. We received a friendly and warm welcome from staff. The menu was perfect for a quick lunch for the event. The food was promptly delivered and was hot and delicious excellent value for money. The hot pork sandwiches were served with all the trimmings and were very filling highly recommended. Six happy walkers left the pub!! Why not five stars the pub looks a little tired inside, I think with some small changes the pub could be incredibly successful! Don’t let this put you off though as the staff and food make up for this!

We visited as a family in June. We booked inside the bar area and had a nice comfortable table. Plenty of starter choices however non of our party ordered one. Main meals again lots of choices and a specials board. Our party tried the steak and Stilton pie which came with a huge portion of chips, vegetables and a little jug of gravy. Couple had the sirloin steak and all the trimmings which both said was great value and cooked to perfection. One of the party had the chip shop platter and one had the scampi.
