Die Speisekarte ist eine wahre Einladung zur kulinarischen Entdeckungsreise: Deftige Klassiker treffen auf raffinierte Kreationen, immer zubereitet mit frischen, regionalen Zutaten. Besonders empfehlenswert ist es, die Mahlzeit auf dem Balkon zu genießen. Der atemberaubende Panoramablick über die umliegende Landschaft verleiht jedem Gericht eine ganz besondere Note. Ich war selbst überwältigt von der Qualität der Speisen: Das Wildgulasch war einfach sensationell – zart, würzig und perfekt abgeschmeckt. Die dazu servierten hausgemachten Kräuterspätzle und der Rotkohl rundeten das Gericht zu einem wahren Gedicht für den Gaumen ab. Auch die Wildschweinwurst war eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion. Das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal trägt maßgeblich zur angenehmen Atmosphäre bei. Wer regionale Küche schätzt und ein besonderes Ambiente sucht, ist im Burgrestaurant Altena goldrichtig."

The beautiful view, good food, and amazing people made the trip worthwhile! I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of dishes and the excellent service. A successful blend of beautiful ambiance, great conversation, and the warmth of the Sauerland region.

I had the venison bratwurst and what can I say... It was the best bratwurst I've ever had the pleasure of eating. My friend, a vegetarian, had the nut roast and is still thrilled to this day. The service is very warm and open. If we visit the castle again, the castle restaurant is something I'm particularly looking forward to. Even so Voir le carte

Absolut empfehlenswert. Tolle Ambiente durch die Burg, ohne aufgesetzt zu wirken. Als Bewohner von Altena ist es zweifelsohne die erste Adresse für gutes und leckeres Essen. Die Küche ist sehr gut und die Karte weißt immer wieder Überraschungen auf. Service tipp topp, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Freue mich schon auf die nächste Gelegenheit.

After a long family day, we stopped into the cozy restaurant with a beautiful castle atmosphere. The staff was very friendly to us and had fun with our children, so they felt very comfortable. We were completely welcomed as a family. There is a small play area with toys for the children. Drinks came very quickly and the children's food came first so that they could get started. We had a Schmandschnitzel and once the pork loin and dark beer mead sauce. Very tasty and good value for money. Plates were beautifully and appetizingly prepared.
