"Menù vasto e coinvolgente. Piatti elaborati e ben riusciti. Un capolavoro per il palato. L'esperienza più bella. Prezzi accessibili, collocato a due passi dal Duomo. Dispone di una terrazza ben curata. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Ambiente delizioso e ben disposto. Consiglio gli gnocchi con il nero di seppia e capesante e gnocchi amatriciana e polpo. Frittura di 18€ spesi benissimo perché oltre che abbondante era veramente buona e cotoletta di tonno con cipolla in agrodolce e senape. Dolci spettacolari. Consiglio vivamente. Esperienza da ripetere."

"Locale molto conosciuto a Terracina, dove si può mangiare ottima carne, c'è una vasta scelta di vini e ottime birre artigianali, antipasto meraviglioso e altro..... Ottimo servizio e sempre molto gentili. Loca pulito e bagno impeccabile. Possibilità di mangiare all'interno oh all'estero del locale. Noi ci siamo recati di Sabato logicamente prenotando, leggevo alcune recensioni che dicevano troppo chiassoso, ma devo dire il contrario, sinceramente il locale era pieno, personalmente ho passato una serata piacevole, molto soddisfacente. Sicuramente un locale ottimo dove tornerò presto. Se venite a Terracina e volete mangiare ottima carne e non solo ve lo consiglio."

"We were the only guests that evening but that did not affect our experience at all, it was excellent. The host received us with great pleasure, we were allowed to choose a table. No matter which table you choose, every table has a great view. We chose the fish menu and it was delicious. We got three different fish preparations as antipasti (stuffed salmon rolls, purple potato 'tartare ' topped with fruits de mer and mozzarella with smoked swordfish), a nice start of the menu. Followed by a very tasty ravioli filled with scallops, among other things. The main course was a whitefish from the oven with potatoes, also very tasty. Dessert was a kind of custard with biscuits and cherries, a nice ending to a very nice dinner. The wine and olive oil (home made) were also delicious and a special mention for the home made bread basket with different types of rolls, super! In short, dine here"

"This is one of the 4 restaurants we had a pleasure to dine at during our stay in Terracina (a small seaside town south of Rome . Il Caminetto is a somewhat posh place, which is visible in the service staff being more reserved than one would expect from an Italian place. They 're helpful and polite, yet not openly friendly or outspoken. The restaurant is housed in a nice building near one of main squares of the town and is very nicely decorated. Simple, pleasant coulours, few ornaments, comfortable chairs. The main dining room is big enough to ensure a bit of privacy for the guests. Food is offered from a fixed as well as a daily menu. The restaurant also has a pre-defined meal sets clearly targeted at unaware tourists. I strongly advise to avoid these sets, and select your courses from the daily menu. You get the freshest sea food and fish. And you also earn some respect points with the service staff (always a good thing.... . We had simple starters (mozarella with ham, tomatoes and rocket salad, our favourite Italian classic and fish: sole (cooked whole and filetted afterwards for us and another sea fish, whose name we are unaware. All food was superb! Very well cooked, nicely presented, without any unnecessary extras or side dishes (of course you can have them if you wish . And then there was wine. Il Caminetto is called 'Enoteca ', which stands for a 'wine bar '. And as the name suggests, the choice of wines is very satisfying! Prices are reasonable. Our choices, including wine and a desert, cost us exactly the same as the 'tourist menus ' would. In all, this place is a highly recommendable one. It checks all the important boxes."
