"Overall our evening at Bordelaise was not consistent with the price we paid, the food was good but service not so, had the service been as good as the food we would have no complaints. Initially our booking was not found, when finally confirmed, we were seated and then waited at least 10 minutes while the waitresses chatted amongst themselves. Our request for drinks to be served before the 1st course was ignored, in fact they arrived after the first course. The drinks (gin and tonics) were served incorrectly in tumblers that spilt on the table but there was no apology or attempt to mop up the liquid. Our three starters arrived simultaneously (not as requested), we had asked that the first starter be served with the drinks and the second two after this, but for some reason this proved impossible. Additionally the chairs were uncomfortable which along with the service, spoilt our evening. The food was very good, we have no issue with the quality or cooking but the management must try and direct the staff to enable a more pleasant overall experience."

Generally the food was good. Gravy wasn't as hot as it should be. Starter Caesar salad could have been improved with homemade croutons.

The food was very nice. Wine selection slightly limited. Staff very friendly but also very inexperienced and could have been more attentive, we had to ask for a couple of things twice as they forgot.

A beautiful place to visit on the market. Gnocchi was great. The steaks were ok, expecting better flavors for the price. The blue cheese sauce was not very blue cheesy. The frits with beef drops tasted good. The veg of the day was carrots and have a beautiful garlic drizzle above. The Dauphinoise was okay. The selection of red wines was wonderful.
