"We went for a Sunday dinner in this quaint little Swiss restaurant near Place des Eaux Vives. It's conveniently located near a few independent cinemas, trendy bars and the lake. We ordered a tomato fondue and a croute, and had a meringue / fruit with gruyere cream for dessert. The white wine was reasonably priced (aligoté) and everything was up to par quality wise, although the portions are not very large so big eaters could be disappointed. The service wasn't particularly fast despite the restaurant being half empty, and the waiter tried to sell us an off-menu dried meat entrée - the 25 franc one that others have warned about - and later gave himself a tip at the end of the meal without me explicitly giving him one. He took my 100 franc bill and didn't return any change. This is on top of him overcharging for one of the dishes, a point I didn't want to contest because it was only a few francs and I was on a date. Despite the pleasant tasty meal this type of service is not what I'm looking for. Swiss food lovers can look to Café du Soleil, Le Gruyerien or Bain des Paquis for fondue and other cheese dishes, amongst other options in town."

Old brasserie where you eat a fabulous half-and-half fondue in the tradition of Swiss fondue. Very friendly welcome

Great welcome, great family friendly atmosphere, simple things done well. A little bit pricey, but that's Geneva. It was just what we wanted on our one night stop over. You can't go wrong with a fondue for kids!

This is small and cosy and central. The staff are helpful, do reserve. We had 3 types of fondues and wonderful green salad. Highly recommended had read they did not treat english speakers wll but we had no problem. Not cheap but classic and...good.

This was easily the best fondue we had on a recent trip to Geneva. I would definitely recommend this place. The owner/waiter was very friendly and very helpful, the cheese fondue (we had with mushrooms) was easily the best we had in Geneva and the...chocolate fondue was delicious. Really very nice rustic meal. If you want great fondue then I really recommend this place!

We were looking for a nice place were to eat a good fondue au formage. Bon-vin might look a bit rustic, but the fondue au champagne was to die for. The waiter was really entertaining and funny; service was really quick, but we were basically the first there. Never drink water with the fondue, site one or tra are a better option and the waiter will advise you about this anyway.

Please do not go there if you want a family nice dinner. We had the intention of having a nice 1st of the season family fondue, as every year in this nice traditional restaurant. I was there with my young daughter and had to listen ‘les habitués’ until we had to leave. 4 men completely drunk and loud. Couldn’t finish my dinner, of course, I was not having all this with my daughter or even as an adult. The excuse was, sorry , cr sont les habitués’… so if they are ready to stand this themselves, I asked them to warn their clients, mainly if there is a present child, they are supposed to stand for them (clients) all. With or without children, so loud we couldn’t have a proper conversation. I wi...
