"this is a fair place with tasty meals & very friendly service. They have a lot of space (both inside and at the terrace, but I do recommend to book a table - they are very popular). My favorite meals there are "escalope viennoise" (Vienna schnitzel) & tart tatin (apple tart). They have one of the best coffee in neighborhood, to my opinion. So I often drop in for a cake + coffee.Prices are very reasonable, referring meals quality & volume. They also have daily suggestions (at my photos you could see the "Sunday menu", which includes salad, main dish & dessert).I could also add that they are client-oriented. Once I have ordered the "fondu chinoise" and it was salty for me. I am sure that if I have complained this, they would have changed it. But I only told at the end, and surprisingly the maitre offered me a dessert on the house. As he mentioned "to sweeten the salty taste". Also he immediately informed the cook to reduce quantity of bouillon in future(as I understood, it was the reason of salty taste). It was nice of him.This place is the one, where I go probably the most often. They are nicely located, very close to tram 12, and close to the swimming pool of Thonex, which I also like: )))"

"We decided to celebrate our 1st year anniversary there and it was the best decision ever!!! Not only super creamy and tasty fondue for my husband but they even made a vegetarian version of their poached eggs which I hope the include in the menu as it was almost as good as the fondue!! Also the side salad has a vinagreta so tasty that I'll try to copy it at home Thx guys!! Hope to see you next year!!"

"Had the canard avec cinq epices et crepes and the potage agrei-piquant. The soup was delicious very good combination of flavors made with care. The duck was well cooked, with a delicious sweet sauce and crepes which resemble thin flour tortillas. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for chinese food. Finally the price is fair for Geneva. Cannot tell you about the ambience because somebody picked up the food for me (take out) (a emporter). But just for the quality of the food i will go again the next time im in the mood for chinese food."

"A restaurant worth a quarter of a star. The dishes are not delicious and have inappropriate inventions in recipes. This restaurant is for bragging, not for eating. This instead of the prices are very high and the waiter forces you to ask for more than one request for the same item under the pretext that the shaff takes time to prepare and does not want to prepare only one dish. An experience I won't repeat and I won't listen."

"We found this place walking back from the Natural History Museum on the way to the lake. It was open late afternoon when many other places are closed. Wife and I shared a fantastic seafood risotto and the kids had spaghettis ali olio (2 dishes...each).... maybe we were all hungry but all the plates were empty. The waitress recommended a very nice bottle of wine. We skipped desert because we were so full. The ambience is very Italian.... little bit disorganized, gregarious staff, but a nice buzz. We would definitely visit again and stay for desert next time. The food is genuinely Italian, authentic and simple and well prepared. Overall excellent value for money."

"This was a tough one to mark. The food was delicious, the wine too but my gosh the attitude of the manager was a downer. We arrived on time for our booking, menus were given to us but then the staff disappeared. It was a good 20 mins before the manager popped by our table. When we told him politely, "we have been waiting a while, may we please order", his response (with an know-it all attitude) was "oh, let me tell you something about restaurants, when you've your menu open it means you haven't chosen your food". The cheek of this man seeing that only one of the four had it open (we had time to kill and re-read the menu many times in between conversations!!!). We pointed out to him that no staff had even passed by to check or anything despite us trying to get their attention. No staff was in the vicinity to see whether the menu was open or closed. He brushed it off as a mistake on our part and we'll know better for next time (seriously!?!). For me this put a damper on the start of the evening. Really that condescending attitude should be checked at the door and not imposed on clients.Credit where credit is due...the food was delicious. Really the starters were great, the main dish also. Though it took time, the staff (excluding manager, sorry!) in the end were present and pleasant in the end.Would I go back? TBD!"

"Three friends decided to have dinner there. Here are our impressions:Service: 10. Waiters were really nice and smiley. Its definitely a place client service oriented, which means out of the ordinary in Geneva.Food: 6. The quality is good. Yet, we found the place to be too nice for the lack of creativity on their menu. All you can find in Geneva is tartar, dorade, beef steak... A little bit boring for what it could be if they dared to innovate. Place: 8. It cosy, well arranged and you dont feel like you are too close to other tables.Just a remark: we had 3 limoncellos as a digestive drink after dinner and they charged us 27 chf!!!!! Are we crazy? Way too expensive for an average drink. We could have bought 3 bottles of limoncello for the price of three shots in this restaurant.A place with potential, but needs to improve."

"If you want to feel a homey, safe, local and joyful atmosphere, this place definitely manages to deliver. While we came at probably peak lunch hour on a holiday/Sunday and at a considerably busy time, the staff were all friendly, smiling and welcoming. They managed to branch off a table from a group table to fit us. The waiting time before we got the menus was a bit long, and there we had kind of expected some water or bread while waiting for the food (or at least some water with the wine , but maybe it works differently here "

"I saw that this place had decent reviews on both Yelp and TripAdvisor that wasn't overly fancy. What's awesome is that if you make reservations on THE FORK (Via TripAdvisor), you get 50% off your dinner!!! Arriving just 15 minutes early to our 7pm reservation (I made just earlier that afternoon), the boyfriend and I were greeted by our ever so enthusiastic waiter who let us seat anywhere we wanted. The place was empty so it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! Perhaps that's normal on Monday.We are light eaters so we shared one full meal, which was:SALAD À LA LYONNAISE - 14 CHFOeuf poché, croutons, lardons. (Poached Egg, Croutons, Lardons).This salad had tons of lardons and the dressing was kind of sweet which gave the salad a nice balance. The croutons were clearly fresh made. The poach egg was kind of hard, and although some yolk would have made the salad better, this dish was still pretty fricking awesome! JOUE DE BŒUF BRAISÉE, POMMES PURÉE - 36 CHFThe beef was tender, the sauce was flavorful and went well with the oh so very creamy mashed potatoes! This was a fine dish! SABLÉ AUSC FRAMBOISES - 12 CHFThis custard tart had fresh and sweet raspberries and I highly enjoyed it even though I was so full. The crust was light and the custard was rich. Overall this dessert had the right amount of sweetness. Our server recommended this.Thanks to THE FORK, our bill came out to be 36,50, which is like $38!!!! Now that is super cheap for nice dining in Geneva. Wow!Oh yeah and water was 5,50 CHF. They charge for water in Switzerland. Overall I had such a wonderful time. Our server was such a delight! He made me laugh so many times with his humor, even though we had a language barrier. I forgot to ask for his name, but he's the thin, tall, young and handsome fella. Thank you so much for giving us such a memorable last evening in Geneva!"

"An amazing place with amazing food during the day (before 5pm) and amazing cocktails during the night (5pm-2am). Make sure you check the time you’re going there at, as the the bar and restaurant are operated separately, so you can’t get more than bar food during bar hours and you can’t get the evening cocktails during restaurant hours. As for the cocktails, they are some of the best I’ve ever had, and I have never once seen the menu! The Barman asks you what you feel like having and makes a cocktail on the spot, what you’d expect from someone who’s won many competitions!"

"My review concerns dinner and drinks. Food and drinks are good and reasonably priced, but the four times I have been here, the service is sooo lousy!!! Take your time because the waitresses for sure take theirs! You get the menu, 30 mins later she will come back. All four times service has been sooo slow and poor...i keep on going because I like the place but improve the service!!"

"Had a lovely dinner meal at BEEF on the terrace outside. We ordered a 850 gr Cote de Boeuf grass-fed for two, with two side dishes (ratatouille vegetables). After a longer exchange about the quality of the beef and its origins but also differences in various types of beef, we got served and it was delicious. Service/hospitality was also very good. I am just wondering why they need to fly in beef from US or NZ so far from Switzerland and could at least offer one local option? Also 70 CHF per person was pricy for the beef. But overall, very nice experience."

"came over this jewel looking for a new place for a birthday dinner. This is a rare discovery! Excellent food and very warm and attentive service. Meals taste as if for you personally with attention to detail, while with a high restaurant quality. We had a great time in a relaxing but charming atmosphere, also with a small candle on our dessert, which we did not even ask! The scallops, monks and crème brûlée melt in the mouth. "Après avoir découvert ce restaurant y a plus de deux ans, j 'y retourne une à deux fois par semaine. Rosy, la gérante est d 'une gentillesse juste incroyable et connaît son métier, la nourriture y est juste exquise et la sélection de vin aussi. Chez moi est aussi présent à Plainpalais et là, la nourriture y est encore meilleure. Le cadre des deux restaurants est juste parfait: chic et moderne, la cliente est mixte il y a des jeunes comme des plus vieux (comme moi) et est aussi élégante que le restaurant. Pour moi, un dès meilleure restaurant à Genève."
