"We usually love going to this restaurant. It has been recently refurbished and is clean and well presented and the staff are helpful and polite. However on our last visit the ‘entitled brigade’ had come out in force and ruined what would have been an enjoyable meal. Who do I refer to? Why dog owners of course. You know, those people who force their pets on everyone else and also force their bewildered animals to crouch under tables and ignore all others including other dogs as if that’s going to happen! I don’t know who I feel sorry for the most, the animals or the people around them who have endure slobbering dogs trying to climb on your lap or breathe dog breath all over you and your food whilst you are trying to eat. It’s disgusting, unhygienic and antisocial but people put up with this bad behaviour because they don’t want to be labelled as animal haters. On the contrary I love animals but don’t feel the need to hoist my pets on other people. There was plenty of room for them to sit outside where the animals would have been much happier and so would the people trying to have a meal in such a nice clean cafe. It’s about time that normal humans are respected and not just those who can’t seem to function without their cuddle buddies 24/7. The exception to this is of course dogs who are doing their job as guide dogs etc. but you rarely see them in crowded cafes. Their owners know better and respect their dogs and others. It used to be against the law to take a dog into a place where food was being served. What a pity that law was repealed to the detriment of the many in order to please the few. I am unlikely to go back here any time soon."

Very disappointing came for lunch couldn't pay for lunch and ice creams in one transaction, staff cold and miserable, had a toastie for £5.50 I should have just ordered roast as there was literally no filling

We purchased ice creams from here during an exceptionally warm spell in September. Even though it was almost 8pm, the hard working staff were still busy serving at the hatch as the patrons just kept on coming.... Very impressed and the ice creams were delicious, too. Voir le carte

This was our second time getting a takeout lunch from here and it was terrible. They forgot to include the beans in my kids' meals and the chips were overcooked. We used to enjoy this place, but the quality has really declined. The only positive thing was the ice cream.

We were thoroughly impressed by the tasty lemon drizzle and chocolate orange cakes at the Bluebird Cafe. They were ideal for enjoying with a cup of tea on a rainy and blustery day. While we typically don't bother writing reviews, we felt that the Bluebird Cafe was deserving of one.

We hadnt visited for over two years due to covid. What a disapointment. Food certainly not up to the previous standard. We ordered breakfast and tomatoes were cold, sausages overcooked. The lady on the till was certainly overworked and didnt seem to have much help. Queue very long. We were looking forward to returning to this cafe and we had always enjoyed meals there before covid. Had lunch here yesterday. The food is plain home cooked food but it was very tasty and hot. So glad I opted for the oap meal because the meal my friend had was huge! : Lovely staff very accommodating to ladies in wheelchairs with their support workers. The young lady taking the orders behind the counter was very helpful. This cafe was the best part of what was a let down in Lee on Solent. Thank you Bluebird cafe.

We regularly visit Lee on the Solent as we are retiring and moving into a Bungalow in the area. We have frequented this Cafe multiple times while exploring and have been impressed. The food is simple, well-presented, and served by very helpful staff with generous portions. There are also vegetarian options and a gluten-free breakfast that my Wife highly recommends. Overall, this Cafe is a great example of a successful local business.
