"We usually love going to this restaurant. It has been recently refurbished and is clean and well presented and the staff are helpful and polite. However on our last visit the ‘entitled brigade’ had come out in force and ruined what would have been an enjoyable meal. Who do I refer to? Why dog owners of course. You know, those people who force their pets on everyone else and also force their bewildered animals to crouch under tables and ignore all others including other dogs as if that’s going to happen! I don’t know who I feel sorry for the most, the animals or the people around them who have endure slobbering dogs trying to climb on your lap or breathe dog breath all over you and your food whilst you are trying to eat. It’s disgusting, unhygienic and antisocial but people put up with this bad behaviour because they don’t want to be labelled as animal haters. On the contrary I love animals but don’t feel the need to hoist my pets on other people. There was plenty of room for them to sit outside where the animals would have been much happier and so would the people trying to have a meal in such a nice clean cafe. It’s about time that normal humans are respected and not just those who can’t seem to function without their cuddle buddies 24/7. The exception to this is of course dogs who are doing their job as guide dogs etc. but you rarely see them in crowded cafes. Their owners know better and respect their dogs and others. It used to be against the law to take a dog into a place where food was being served. What a pity that law was repealed to the detriment of the many in order to please the few. I am unlikely to go back here any time soon."

Chips were vile and tasted of old chip fat and were rock hard. Tostie was barley warm bread. Left food and went somewhere else. Very disappointed.

Very disappointing came for lunch couldn't pay for lunch and ice creams in one transaction, staff cold and miserable, had a toastie for £5.50 I should have just ordered roast as there was literally no filling

This was our second time getting a takeout lunch from here and it was terrible. They forgot to include the beans in my kids' meals and the chips were overcooked. We used to enjoy this place, but the quality has really declined. The only positive thing was the ice cream.

The restaurant is now under new ownership, and it is so refreshing to find a coffee shop that offers dairy alternatives like almond and soya milk, as is the case with the Bluebird cafe. They also have a great selection of gluten-free and vegan options. The cakes look amazing, and I especially enjoyed the gluten-free cake recommended by Kay. I will definitely be back! Voir le carte

We regularly visit Lee on the Solent as we are retiring and moving into a Bungalow in the area. We have frequented this Cafe multiple times while exploring and have been impressed. The food is simple, well-presented, and served by very helpful staff with generous portions. There are also vegetarian options and a gluten-free breakfast that my Wife highly recommends. Overall, this Cafe is a great example of a successful local business.

Been coming to the Bluebird for a year now and have never had reason to complain as the service has been great and quality of food good..until recently. About a month ago prices across the board went up about 22%. No issues as lots of prices have gone up. However , there appears to be some issues with the prices of other items. Instead of my usual breakfast one morning I went for just 2 eggs on toast and coffee. It was just 90p different from a full breakfast!! How can that be fair when i didn 't get 2 sausages and 2 bacon... Mentioned it to the breakfast cook..comment was ' that 's not right ' but that was it..no apologies its an error or would you like another coffee... nothing! Sorry guys...
