"We waited for 25 minutes for our sandwiches to come out, only to realize they were filled with the wrong ingredients. When I mentioned this to the young girl serving us, she was very argumentative and insisted that I had ordered the wrong filling. This all happened in front of my 4-year-old son. Eventually, she took the sandwiches back and we finally got the correct filling, but the whole ordeal was disappointing. As someone in the catering business myself, I believe that the customer is always right and arguing with them is not the way to handle a situation like this. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant. My advice would be to carefully choose your staff members and perhaps opt for more mature individuals."

I’ve literally got nothing to say. I mean, calling this place excellent is an understatement (obviously)

upon not getting served for at least 10 mins for sitting down before a regular came in and made feel unwelcome we left and went elsewhere ... middle aged woman with glasses sneered at both myself and daughters after. Regular couldn’t have there usual seat .. not even worth one star!!

This restaurant is exactly what Ashton needed for families with children, including myself! Every time we visit, we have a great time and struggle to decide what to choose from the diverse menu. I often bring the kids here to enjoy one of the amazing milkshakes or ice creams during the summer months. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

This is a little gem in Ashton town centre, THE Shake shop offers so much more than shakes! Cakes, toastier, sandwiches and don’t get me started on the Christmas menu!! Dipping gravy and pigs in blanket sides All year round, no matter the weather, this is an enjoyable place to go and caters to everyone. One of my favourite places to go on a day off with my sister or my niece and nephew and even just myself. Treat yourself to a smoothie my favourite is a Gene Kelly

We have been to this restaurant several times and have never been let down. The coffee is fantastic, and we always have plenty of options for milkshakes and ice cream dishes. They also offer a nice selection of hot food, although I have only tried a toastie, which was fresh and delicious. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is not large, but the seating is comfortable, especially by the windows where you can people-watch while enjoying your milkshake. Overall, this is a wonderful place to dine and drink, and we will definitely be returning regularly.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
