"Went for mother's day a group I thought a green king check the menu it basic not much choose I ordered pie it look it had been warmed in the microwave it was freshly cooked some the carvery they said the meat was tough etc some macaroni cheese it only small for the price wasn't worth some went too bar ask for burger said don't do burgers then 5 minates later they brought a customer a double burger out the was like a goust town no one really it was mother's day mother's didn't a free drink or a free meal like other greening chains the chef couldnt under stand english like it all microwave food I been a chef my self standards of the food was rubbish we must spend a lest 200 hundred pounds altogether nothing too show for I think they need too get a decent chef in change the menu more variety etc and FRESH COOKED food go too the grapes across the road get some tips how too run a resturant and a proper carvery plus none of staff had uniform on etc the looks run down and tired needs money put in too get customers throw the door until they do some improvment iwill not be back"

Nice pub, friendly staff but very quiet, used to be the best pub in ST Helens for food entertainment, friday, Saturday sunday was always a full house, still a nice pub but a pale shadow of what it was
