"Chose to visit this café for breakfast and I could not be more disgusted by the service. We were told to wait whilst our drinks were being made so we could deliver them to the table ourselves, which normally I wouldn’t mind except there were 7 members of staff on; 1 was working the till, two were the chefs and the remaining 4 were all just stood behind the bar eating, without cutlery, just full on shoving their fingers in mouths licking away. To know it could be one of these hands that served my plate (which did happen! made me feel sick. Seeing this site made me look around more and I noticed the chefs weren’t wearing chef whites. Just normal day to day clothes, incredibly unhygienic! I ordered a “peach ice tea” which in truth was just an over syruped 3 cubed glass of water. Was no quality in the product. On top of that, the plates weren’t even clean! My whole table witnessed the waitress notice and still proceed to serve it to us."

"The restaurant had a nice, clean atmosphere with a wide range of homemade food options, from snacks to main dishes. We chose to have the homemade vegetable soup and a traditional breakfast. The soup came in a generous portion in a large bowl, served with a fresh, warm crusty roll and a big slice of butter - it was excellent. The breakfast included a high-quality butcher's sausage, a tasty bacon rasher, baked beans, a delicious poached egg (scrambled was also an option), mushrooms (we chose them over tomatoes), and two thick slices of buttered brown granary toast. Everything was cooked and presented well, and we will definitely come back to this restaurant. Great food and great value for money. Many thanks to all involved."

"I orderded online as a get well gift for my parents. Service was great and professional. They enjoyed the chicken and ham pie. It was nice that they didnt have to worry about prepping a meal. Filling and tasty. They enjoyed the delish pie for dinner, cherry pie, to be enjoyed a bit later with ice cream. Thank you. I would like to be able to do a pick and mix box infuture."

"I visited today for the first time since the new owners took over. Having seen good and bad reviews we decided to take a chance and see for ourselves. We were very impressed with the new pods outside but opted to eat inside. We received a very friendly welcome and the inside all looks very nice. There seems to be less tables so not cramped at all. I ordered a beef burger and asked for the extra cheese option. The burger arrived with chips and a generous salad. Unfortunately the burger and bun were both burnt inside and they had put grated cheese inside not the usual cheese slice you would expect with a burger. The cheese was very strong and ruined the already burnt burger. We had seen another customer sending back a whole plate of food so things are not right. As we were eating a bin collection man came in and said to staff that he wouldn't empty their recycling bin as it had a load of food and maggots in it !! This totally put me off my food and left half my meal. On paying I was asked if everything was ok so I explained that my burger was burnt and not enjoyable due to the strong cheese and I received an apology and the cost of our two drinks were taken off the bill. On reflection I think it would have been fairer to not charge for the burger meal. Don't think I will be going back under present ownership which is a shame as myself and my family have enjoyed many breakfasts and lunches over the years"

"after reviewing the reviews on pubs in the opposite, which I held over the May Day weekend, I came across the fox inn and reserved a table for me and the woman. we arrived a little earlier than our booking time and was welcomed by oli and assured that there was no problem we ordered our drinks and were very welcome to our table after we decided to go to the menu 20 minutes from the order we received our food, which has to be said, was **** beautiful, we were very impressed by the amount of meat on the teller it was so tender and tasty with a good amount of sweet and yorkshire pudding a fantastic Sunday roast dinner dinner in a nice gast-friendly pub with great service of oli. I recommend to visit her definitiw, the f and?"
