"Koocha, while hard to get a booking at, is 100% worth the effort! I would recommend the oyster wings above all else, I was considering ordering a second portion. We ordered two large plates and two mezze between two people, which filled us up plenty. We also got some cocktails which were lovely, and since we arrived early we got the two of the same for £15 deal. The staff are always lovely too, and while the place is small and intimate, it was never too loud for conversation. The only downside is that a lot of the menu is often unavailable, which is a shame, but everything we did order was delicious, and there was still plenty of choice. Edit: Since going back I have found the whole menu has been available so I think they have resolved any supply issues! Updated from previous review on 2023-08-28"

"From the minute we were welcomed in , without a reservation, to the minute we left, it was an amazing experience. I always think it’s a special restaurant when you can’t make the same thing at home, and the food we ordered was perfection. The menu is so well thought out and the drinks , even though we chose the non alcoholic ones (they do have alcoholic beverages) were so delicious. The service was top notch and everyone who worked there seemed to be happy to be there which is an important thing when dining anywhere. The people that bring you your food and cook your food have vibes that make for the overall experience and I must say it was a top notch experience and great food. "It's generally good. The fish and chips can be good when freshly made. The service is usually quite bad. The other week I came in and young lad on the counter was useless, got the wrong order, didn't put the sauce or lemon with the meal, presented the meal really badly. I went in again since then and two girls on the counter were more interested in their conversation than serving customers, completely ignored me. One of them picked their nose in front of me before taking my order. Need desperately customer service training. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"got here! no warning. best food! booked a table of a recommendation from a friend, mistakenly appeared early, the host greeted us and sat us as soon as possible, really inviting. we asked for additional starters and they were happy to make the adjustment, and I don't even think they added it to our final bill. eating came in good time and was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection. I loved the wobblebhaji. we had free poppadome 4 different sauces and a dessert to share. this is by far the best service I have ever received and I personally was not a fan of Indian cuisine before I came to visit here, I am rebuilt! will definitely return. the whole food is beautifully presented, tastes exquisite and the team are so beautiful, polite and have a little laugh with them!"

"This was simply our best meal in Bristol, without a doubt. We were thrilled by the atmosphere, the fun, and the delicious food. The grilled sole, chicken thighs, and grilled prawns were standout dishes, and nothing let us down. I hope they maintain the outdoor seating. A big shoutout to the staff, who clearly love what they do. Absolutely amazing!"
