"The Bengal Lancer was a lifesaver during covid and the Monday night takeaway has morphed into a sit in curry club. The food is honest and home cooked, well priced and my friend and I missed it in September/ October when it was spruced up in a refurb. The staff there are friendly and the service is always excellent. They’re very open to feedback and tweaking their dishes to taste also. Get along and support your local curry house!"

Been away for a few years but was glad to see that the Standards of this lovely restaurant hadn’t slipped. Staff were very welcoming and the food remained at a very high level Be back soon

I have wanted to visit here for a few years as it always turns up in one of my favourite authors books (Tom Thorne novels). It lives up to its reputation, superb service, excellent food. The staff are lovely. Thank you guys and thank you Mr Billingham (the author).

We always enjoy going to the Bengal Lancer (usually early Saturday evening) where the staff welcome us and show us to our favourite table. With Bangla music playing in the background and excellent food we invariably have a nice couple of hours. The new decor has been very thoroughly thought out and adds a luxurious feel. Voir le carte

The staff at the Bengal Lancer were amazing. We were a big group of 14 people, and they looked after us extremely well. The food was great, and the wine very decent and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend the food, the service, the wine it's not easy taking care of so many at once, but they were very attentive and welcoming.

Ordered a takeaway for our new years family dinner went to collect it brought it home there was no rice I ordered 3 there was also a korma missing my husband had to go back up there to be told it’s New Year’s Eve nothing they can do they will cook rice so all the family are currently sitting at home waiting for all the rice happy new year they was rude offered nothing to compemsate absolute joke
