"Chit Chat! We are the Curry Clan and we visit a different curry restaurant every month to give honest feedback on our experience! This month, we chose Bengal Lancer in Aldershot. Many of us had been to this curry house many years ago, so we were excited to revisit. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was quiet with a sense of anticipation. Our table was a bit wobbly, but we quickly fixed it with a folded place mat. It took a while for our beers and poppadum order to arrive, but the beer was cold and the poppadums eventually came, though they were a bit overpowering. We asked for more dips, which were brought promptly. The starters were good, but the chicken chat was different than expected. The mixed kebab had an interesting cranberry/hoisin sauce twist. The mains smelled delicious, but the meat was tough to chew. Despite this, the flavors were good and the rice and naans were tasty. The highlight of the evening was the spacious toilets. The bill had some errors, but after a few pints, we paid and left full and tired. Overall, we would give the food a solid C+. Thank you Bengal Lancer for a memorable experience! Namaste."

this is the first time that we have tried bengal lancer tonight after we have learned about the place for years. first-class food no fat in itself. beautiful meal our new, regular curry house now

sat on Saturday night with woman. very good food, good service and reasonable prices, beautiful decoration inside. the food was prepared with nothing boiled properly. really enjoyed it and will go again definitiw.

The food was subpar at best. I would have preferred a pre-packaged meal instead. The sauce was cold, almost like it was only half heated, with some plain meat tossed in. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Tested and tested many Indian resteraunts I can honestly say that this is the best tasting eat. Resteraunt looks a bit dated, but don't judge a book ... I was close earlier, but now have to go there 25 minutes, but it's worth it!

Such a nice place for quality food and quality time. Food was superb. We were large group and they served us well. Really appreciate for a free round drink as complimentary and few starter to test. My kids love curry. Staffs were very well trained and friendly. Impressed with their hospitality. Highly recommend!!!

We have eaten in at Bengal Lancer a couple of times, but had a take away last night. Delicious food as always, really hot, and ready to collect exactly on time. Always a warm welcome. If you are nervous of eating out (although all the necessary precautions are being taken) , why not have a take away. I cannot recommend it too highly the food is absolutely delicious, and certainly the best take away I have experienced in the area.

I booked a table at this restaurant based on a recommendation from years ago. The restaurant now has a new owner, a polite young man who is very engaging. The food is cooked fresh, so the wait times can be a little longer, but it is definitely worth it. The tandoori dish was outstanding. After chatting with the owner about his future plans, he invited my family back to try some new menu items. We had a wonderful evening with delicious food. Even my 7 and 9-year-old children enjoyed it, and they were surprised with ice cream. The service was amazing, the food was fantastic, and overall it was a lovely experience. I wish the owner all the best and will definitely be back soon.
