We ate here with our two companions at a table with fabulous views of the bay of Naples. The food could not have been better the wine list is really impressive with wines at all prices and for all tastes the service was also excellent. Voir le carte

We were staying in the hotel and one evening big had rain so we stayed in for a meal. Menu was limited and typically hotel expensive. Food turned out to be poor value and tasteless. While we was finishing our bottle of wine one of the waiters walked through the restaurant saying the restaurant was now closed and people should leave. Unbelievable

We stopped into the Hotel Tramontano last week for a drink at their most beautiful bar overlooking the sea. We decided that we would try the restaurant the next night and enjoy the amazing views once again. The experience at the restaurant was lovely. The food was good albeit a bit fancy italian) but the service was divine. We were totally taken care of, even though we were not staying at the hotel. I would highly recommend this for a special night out.

All the waiters were amazing. Extremely friendly and gave lots of recommendations for local ingredients, dishes and wines. Service was fast but whilst also allowing adequate time between courses. Buratta starter was amazing as was the pasta dish we shared for our first course. An old recipe dating back to the 1800s containing scorpion fish. The sauce was unbelievable as was the presentation. Disappointed overall given the 9.3 rating. When we arrived (7.30/8pm there was no one else in the restaurant, there was no atmosphere at all- not even music playing. The food was ok (apart from the alien green foam on my chicken main- which was really off putting even if it tasted ok… . It all felt very 1960’s! They also don’t tell you that you have to wear trousers, so men in shorts beware!! The saving grace was the incredible view- but from where we were sat, all the other view side restaurants were buzzing, so felt really let down.

Gotta try the hotel restaurant plus we were very tired from a tour to Capri. They are very nice with the service. Nice bread to eat at first and also a stuffed zucchini flower. We asked for natural water and they put 2 bottles on the table. We only drank one and they tried to charge for them both. My wife got a gnocchi and so did my mum. It was ok but the gnocchi was so small and the tomato sauce was so dominant that you didn’t even taste the gnocchi. I had a T-bone which I asked for medium to well done and it was. I had dinner and breakfast the next day in this dining room of the Imperial Hotel Tramontano. Like everything else about this property, it is grand. The view across the bay is stunning. The room itself is old world charming but still bright and airy. Everything id done right from greeting, to seating, to table settings...exactly as it should be at this level of dining. The staff, especially the maitre d' was well trained is deluxe service. I had a prix fixe menu which offered sufficient choices. I opted for a soup, baby octopus in tomato sauce, and a cannoli.
