"Work evening celebrating 25 years in the company with 8 colleagues. Restaurant does good solid Swiss food which is just what we needed. Menu in English and German and a good range of starters, mains and deserts. Gets 4 stars only because they had run out of salmon! Veal Zurich style looked substantial while j went for the cordon bleu which comprised layers of meat wrapped around melted cheese and covered in breadcrumbs. It was July but raining and cold! Wine list good but left the others to choose. Whatever the red was it was very good. I would go again"

The Robespierre and the shoe string fries have been bringing me back here for years. Lovely atmosphere. My personal Zurich favorite.

Excellent food and service in a well-worn atmosphere. Our favorite Schnitzel in Zürich. And if your cholesterol count needs a boost, try the Markknochen (delicious and one of the best portions offered compared to other local restaurants Voir le carte

Very relaxed ( but efficient ) staff. I like the small bar. I like the menu - how often do you see bone marrow served? Although I could not resist the Burrata to start. Also a very good selection of meats, but I opted for fish & skinny chips ( pomme allumettes ).

Pleasant simple atmosphere. Very efficient service best service I had in Zurich for lunchtime meal. It's in a business district and is lacking in warming atmosphere but the food was good quality and prepared perfectly. Had salad and veal goulash. No complaints was tasty and filling. Will return

We went here for Friday evening dinner. No reservation, the friendly waiter told us we could sit at the table with "reservation" sign. The place was packed with young people enjoying their Friday evening drink. We had artichoke (with a very nice dressing) and goat cheese as starter. Main was a flank steak with pommes. Simple but nice. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere and will be back again. Voir le carte

Located in a residential suburb of Zurich this is an unassuming restaurant outside and in. The staff were very friendly and welcoming they spoke very good English too. It's a short menu, quite pricey (like everywhere in Zurich) but some good choices. Sadly the...Bone Marrow on toast was just not to my taste. I had the schnitzel whic was very good and the chips were divine. Wine was again pricey but some decent stuff available by the glass. All in all, a very pleasant place for dinner

An indulgent affair from all aspects but we quite liked the food and the service. Restaurant is quite pricey but that's characteristic of Zurich so can't complain much. We did try some local beer as well but skipped the desserts. This is what we ate and would definitely recommend the dishes - Batter fried local fish from Zurich lake - EGLIKNUSPERLI with tartar sauce and potato salad (not in picture) - Cordon Bleu - crusty fried pork meat centered with finest Swiss cheese - Grilled chicken in a bed of mashed purple potatoes and summer veggies

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
