Great atmos and lovely home style cooking. Service is good but the wait can be a little long particularly on a Sunday.

a small jewel in balham! go up for old men sport and social club vibe with young clapham balhamite yuppie clientele. I locked up.

Quirky and fun. Good place to hang out , makes a change from identikit chain bars. Food is mostly good , and between 6-7pm they bring out great sausage rolls for £1 Voir le carte

great atmosphere, nice things and very good food. Portions are not huge, but very good lamb, amazing truffle maic with wild wild boar sausage, big chicken breast starter.

the bbc is a huge place with several bars and a restaurant, but it always manages to feel comfortable and welcoming. today tested the Sunday roast and it was firm and reliable, as the bbc itself.

A fantastic bar; great atmosphere, drinks and bar snacks. Unfortunately the new restaurant is disappointing, the tapas was luke warm and tasteless, its a shame they've given over so much space to it. My advice would be stick to the sausage rolls sold at the bar delicious! Voir le carte

Great atmosphere! This place is cozy, sociable and a great vibe. The previous manager John (who was a great guy) has left and it’s now being managed by a guy called Seb. Really down to earth, welcoming and a great laugh. He’s kept up the high standards in service and that’s helped by an amazing team around him. Keep up the good work guys!!

And now they do food.... Best bar in Balham, finally does food. Unfortunately not as well as you might expect. Their sister restaurant/bar The Antelope is pretty good, this is disappointing food wise. Ribeye steak ok cut served with a salad of pears, walnuts and watercress plus slathered in anchovy Mayo. How about some chips? Nope, mash or Potatas Bravas (hope you like Mayo). Cholcolate Fondant average with a strange caramalised (grapefruit? not sure) sauce. Adventurous, yes. successful. No. Why not just keep it simple?

I always had excellent food and weeping here. I went back on Thursday after I wasn't one here and it wasn't disappointed. it is a very spacious venue literally with many different rooms and rooms, including two front and rear exteriors. it is a perfect place for only drinks or dinners. I had this time the pan fried gray mullet with celeriac risotto. the fish was excellent and the risotto was perfectly seasoned. my only crumb would be that I would have preferred a larger piece of fish and less risotto, but the overall court was very full. my friend had a pan fried plaice on a bed of chorizo, kicherbsen and tomato sauce. you were a bigger fish with just the right...read more Voir le carte
