Baldry's Tea Room - Carte

Tasty wholesome home baking. Friendly atmosphere. Soup of the day was delicious and came with an enormous cheese scone. Great warming food on a wet day in Grasmere.

A place we come every time we come to the south lakes. A popular tea room, it’s bright airy and serves lovely food with hearty portions. Soup and sandwich is great here.

Such a lovely, establishment. Staff very helpful and friendly. Dog friendly and plenty of treats on offer. Reasonably priced food of the highest quality. Well worth a visit. Voir le carte

Warm, friendly atmosphere with cheerful staff. Food was lovely, including the Gluten Free option. Cup of tea was beautifully served, refreshing and there was plenty of it. Would return again happily.

Visited this Cafe and found the coffee to be very weak and expensive. I note other reviewers have said the same. Gluten Free cake was very basic and very expensive too. Great they take dogs though with biscuits for dogs. Voir le carte

We enjoyed lunch here and also afternoon coffee and cake the following day! Delicious food and drinks and great service. The atmosphere, decoration and cleanliness were spot on. Will be back on our next trip for definite.

We visited as we were in Grasmere for a visit, what a lovely welcoming tea room. The menu is varied with a number of specials on offer. The specials available tempted me to have the apple and blackberry crumble and I was not disappointed. Well worth a visit if in Grasmere.

Very friendly and attentive staff; clear direction to wait to be directed to your table which were well spaced. Doggies very welcome, our two were very comfortable. The food was really tasty, I had the stack which consisted of a thick slice of toast topped with black pudding, smoked bacon and poached eggs, all quality ingredients. My wife had the special, Baldry rarebit with wild mushrooms and rocket, again very tasty. I had the warm spiced apple juice which was fine, my wife’s coffee was ok, not weak as described by others.
