Good Swiss cuisine and great ambience

The view is amazing! The food was very good. The approach is a bit narrow, but if you take it slowly it's no problem.

I enjoyed visiting the Bachtel and restaurant often. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. It's a shame that simple hikers are no longer welcome. Voir le carte

We are sooo disappointed, it's completely closed on Sunday : . We like to walk from home, have about 1.5 to 2 hours and then sooo something. We'll look for a new destination.

WOW, we had a very great evening in the restaurant. The food was world class. The service was very personable and responded to all of our requests. It was a successful birthday. Thank you! Always my pleasure.

On a Sunday, this lovely excursion restaurant was already closed at 2 p.m. We stood in front of the closed door. I find this a real shame, especially on Sundays when many guests visit the Bachtel. There was also nothing on the homepage that said this restaurant closes at 2:00 p.m. So there is room for improvement here.

Great view. Large selection of delicious dishes. Friendly and helpful staff. At the back is a children's playground and the tower with a maximum of good views in all directions. In the east Saentis, Churfirsten, to the south the Glarner, Schwyzer and Urner Alps, then also partly the Valais, Bernese Alps, and in the west then Jura and Laegern. The Feldberg in the Black Forest is more to the north-east. On the viewing platform is an Alpine pointer, which describes the panorama in detail.
