"A while back I went here for my mum and aunts birthday. The cocktails were lovely and the staff very friendly. We all had 2 courses. The starters were okay bit my aunt was unwell after the meal. For mains we all had the seafood pasta. It was awful. Hardly any seafood. It just tasted like pasta and cream. It was a very disappointing night. We had been here previously and had nice food. After complaining we were offered the opportunity to come back for cocktails and two courses as a replacement. Once again the cocktails were lovely and our waitress was very lovely. Our starters were all very nice. However, once again the mains were a let down. I had the steak board. The meat was stone cold. My mother's pork was Luke warm. I complained and were told our drinks bill would be discounted. But they tried to over charge us instead. Last time they also tried to over charge us too. Both times when we queried the bill they agreed they had got it wrong. I would be tempted to go back for cocktails, but would examine the bill closely. I don't think any of us would eat here again. Such a pity because before 3 or 4 months ago the food was nice."

Lovely evening at Artisan. Service was super friendly/attentive and the cocktails lush. Recommend the fish tacos

We ordered mussels and fish and chips. The portions were miniature. It was the smallest fish I have ever seen. The taste was fine buy it definitely isn't worth the price.

A nice cosy place in Ryde, Isle of Wight where you can enjoy a sip of chilled beer with friends and family. Can’t comment on food as it ran out at the time we were inn. Recommended: Plan to come before 7 pm BST to enjoy happy hours as well as food.

Great all round. However I wasn't keen on the cleaner walked passed and waved a broom in my face and all the staff said was im sorry about that!!! Wasn't too impressed by that but at least I got an apology I suppose! Food was excellent very gorgeous roast dinner.

Great food and super service. Our booking was accepted online but they were already fully booked, however the manager squeezed us in and even gave us a free round of drinks. The food was amazing and the steak board is a must if you’re a meat lover, great value at £23.00.

Lovely atmosphere, great surroundings, friendly staff, excellent cocktails and food. We ordered 2 cocktails on happy hour and the quality of the cocktails was superb. The Cherry Smoked old fashioned was a great bit of theatre and tastes fantastic. We ordered a shared steak board the steak was cooked to perfection and the whole board was excellent. Menu is somewhat limited but the steak board really is excellent. Staff very friendly and attentive. Well recommended.

Overall wasn't what i thought it would be like. Few things were incorrect after being ordered correctly. Cocktails were nice but had to wait an eternity to get them. Waited nearly an hour before they took our food order and had to be prompted twice to do that. Food overall wasnt anything special. Chicken burger was fatty, like a thigh had been used, when that wasnt mentioned on the menu. Steak sharer was dry and not much taste or depth to anything. If you are going just for cocktails then you will enjoy them but add food into the mix and it is a different experience. Won't be visiting again

Great place with cool decor and relaxed atmosphere. It wasn 't too busy with a few tables to choose from. Tables were clean and the interior was well laid out. Staff were helpful, friendly and chatty. All of our group were happy with their meals, portions were good and the food well cooked and presented. My daughter said 'the lamb is so tender and even the cabbage tastes great! ' The upstairs cocktail bar looked really cool and we 'd love to have been able to try it out in the evening (but have the kids). Toilets were downstairs, clean and in good order. All in all very good and well recommended.

Possibly the most banal, slow serving, approximate place I've visited in Ryde. No cocktail was harmed in writing this review: I'll talk about the food. Don't get me wrong, the ambiance is well cured and the place looks nice. Nothing to complain there. The place decides to put on the menu some pub classics like fish and chips. Great, exactly what you'd expect in Ryde! As you can see form the picture, not only the cod was average, the chips were overcooked and rather dry. Additionally: no tartar sauce, slightly undercooked peas, total absence of salt, peeler, vinegar etc made this experience forgettable. The mussels were ok-ish, but the sauce they came with was overpowering compared to the rat...

"had a nice lunch on a day trip to the island. the three buoys is just 15 minutes to walk from the hover harbour in a beautiful location with views of the appley beach. the service was perfectly very friendly and efficient. eating was excellent and the menu was varied with interesting elements on a solid basis. the beer squirted fish and chips was delicious with the best I ever tasted, mixed with spinach and a cat filled tartar sauce. perhaps too many cats for those who are not fans of cats, but still delicious. the fish was beautiful and the teig was delicious and not heavy or greasy. I had the seabarschfilets with a red pfeffer pesto, sweethorn velouté, coconut jelly, carburized pak choi, black sesame and red chili. there were also some unannounced spring onions and criminals that complemented the court nicely. the coconut jelly cubes lacked in the coconut flavor and the cut red chili was a little too much for my taste. it contrasted too strongly against the brighter red pfeffer pesto and sweethorn velouté according to my opinion, but it was no effort to separate the few discs from the court. the seabarschfilets were cooked for perfection and packed with taste from the pan. moistened and tastefully with a firm skin, just as it should be. also the grilled pak choi were excellent and both that and the fish were the stars of the show. we had some extraordinary moules marinière as starter. they were not on the menu, but we were accommodated when we asked for them. the mushes were fresh and juicy, only cooked long enough. too many places serve overcooked mush, but this is not one of them. the sauce was plentiful and ridiculously tasty when used a little too much cream (for anyone who observes their waist). this was accompanied by the best garlic bread I cost. the part was also very generous for a starter. I had a local ale to accompany my soul bass, which went very well together. there was so much taste in the fish and pak choi that a bright white wine to blande in comparison I fear so that I was happy with my choice. I had hoped a little more seafood on the menu when I first saw it when I was in the mood for a seafood plate or similar. if I had seen the menu before, I might have gone somewhere and I would have missed on one of the best meals I had in some time. It shows that a good restaurant can take a somewhat regular dish and make it an unforgettable one. I wish I didn't drive this day later, because their gin and tonic and wein selection were very seductive. I'll be sure to come back next time with an overnight stay. at £ 21 per head this was exceptionally good. I love that the service has not been included yet suggested and I hope that the employees do well on tips because they deserve it absolutely. I can't recommend the three buoys enough and remember the meal lively as I write these days later."

"Probably the best so called traditional fish and chips I’ve had in very long time. The chips they were prepared and cooked beautifully the potatoes used were nice quality and not one bad chip on the generously sized plate. The potatoes were peeled yes removed no skin anywhere to be found and not one chip had a blemish ! The fish was nice size not to small not to large and was white fresh not flaky or dry and the batter was nice crispy golden brown a very good batter in todays world The mushy peas ! These are always contentious I come from where mushy peas were invented and used to be served alone with mint sauce ! But to be slightly critical they were too thick and not sweet enough, a little more runny and a little sweeter they would have been perfect. Bread and butter came with my order, nice and fresh bread though cut corner to corner, in a traditional fish and chip eatery it would be in half horizontally and served on a separate plate and not under the chips as was in this case. Minor point offer more than one slice good way to upsell The service in the restaurant, was brilliant the waitress was helpful and very friendly cheerful and reminded of a cockney welcome, everyone called “darling” she was great and certainly made a solo traveller welcome. The shop itself is a little confusing and door to the restaurant is on the corner of the building but like many other not knowing went into the takeaway side, when asked if eat in option available she looked at me like an alien and said yes just go through and someone will come to you ! Great information but didn’t say where to go so I almost ended in the back kitchen. A little more friendly like the waitress she would have been great and maybe a bit more welcoming, customer service nationally in Uk isn’t great compared to lots of other countries so be nice to prove it can be done! And definitely clearer instructions how to access the restaurant be very helpful If I can note some personal minor observations 1. Bread and butter served on separate plate 2. Give option or not for lemon wedge or tartare sauce save waste most don’t use or want it 3. Use mugs for tea or offer them 4. Mushy peas thin out the consistency and make very slightly sweeter can even sell on own with mint sauce ! Overall a very happy experience and would definitely recommend anyone to visit ! I noted lots of of prepared food in the warmers which means is a busy fish and chip shop and they fry appropriately unlike some on the island that make you wait outside for 10 minutes or more whilst they cook them ! My greatest note is that they clearly know how to prepare and cook fish and chips ! And I note as a takeaway they don’t put it in a box ! I think that’s as near traditional assigning today’s world. Thankyou for making my day by finding good food and as a single traveller Fish chips mushy peas bread and butter and generous freshly made tea for around £15 is good value on my book"
