Tried for the first time tonight and can honestly say best indian takeaway I've had Meal type: Other Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5

The staff were exceptionally friendly. The food was good and nicely cooked. We were not aware that alcohol was not available but had coke instead. My only complaint was the price which was nothing like the prices shown in the menu. £4.50 just for the pickle tray and £9.00 for the two cokes seems a bit excessive. I had the lamb biryani which i asked if i could have it little spicy also opted for a tarka dall instead of traditional curry sauce which complimented it well. I was actually surprised as i havent had a decent one in a very long time, kudos to the chef. Thanks again Amin Spice will be back when im working up there again. This is my local Indian and I always enjoy my meal but tonight's was disturbing. I ordered the aroma curry wich my husband has eaten for years, imagine my horror when I found out they had added tinned fruit cocktail to my food! Yes, I found several grapes and a bright red glacé cherry floating around my chicken korma!!! At least try and hide the unusual ingredients you added without my knowledge, never ever again.

The only minor criticism I have is that the waiter was a bit too chatty for my taste, but he was quite charming, and it seemed to be part of his personality. Absolutely stunning dining experience! This is one of the best and most consistent restaurants in the Durham area. The menu is intriguing, the food is diverse, portions are generous, and the staff are polite, friendly, and multilingual. You can bring your own beer or wine without any corkage fee. They might even have a prize or two at the Longley Hotel right across the street, which is a charming old pub featuring the remnants of a handball court in its garden. Amin's is a delight—there's something for everyone, and the quality is excellent.

Absolutely terrible! Ordered tonight for convenience before nightshift after not going for long time due to food been disgusting and staffs attitudes! Naan Bread missing from my order to which I rang to be told I hadn’t ordered it nor paid for it. I said everytime we go there is an issue (which there is) hence us not going for a long time and was just cause it was convenient tonight! For them to reply well look elsewhere for your Naan Bread and hung up!!! Disgusting and will definitely not be back. Food and service appalling. Do not recommend!!!! Only order from here because the takeaway in Sacriston has awful korma sauce now. Pre Ordered online onion bhaji, bombay aloo, plain chicken curry, chicken korma, mushroom pilau and peas pilau for 18.35 through the Food Hub on Friday 28th July. The doorbell rang and from the moment I opened the door I was threatened by the driver why hadn't I answered my mobile phone I have rang six times. I replied because my phone never rang and I proved that. He still insisted on getting his phone to check he had the right contact number which he did and only then did he have to back down.
