"I never thought it was possible to find a cafe that topped the charm of the Queen of Tarts in Dublin, but then again, I live in the Midwest, so my options are severely limited. I'm glad to see that there's a big world out there, and my life's dream is to make my way through it, one cafe at a time, calories be damned. There are some sacrifices in life that are totally worth it. Amelie's is a tiny hidden slice of heaven with a stunningly charming interior, expansive menu, and good service. The atmosphere is one of serenity and beauty, with delicious coffee, great lunch options, and beautiful pastries. It makes me hungry all over again, just thinking about Amelie's, and I don't mean just physical hunger. I mean a hunger of the soul that craves to be satisfied with the charm and contemplative grace that Amelie's provides. It makes me happy to be alive, knowing that such places exist."

I was just there for coffee, but I also ordered pancakes. Despite those who do not speak English, he did his best and we could somehow communicate. not too loud music in the background is great.

This was such a nuce find on a nice summer day. The cafe is small and a bit out of the way which was perfect for relaxing and enjoying some peace and quiet. The waiter was very nice and also spoke perfect English. They also...had some great looking cakes but we were unfortunately too full to try them.

We came there for breakfast, lured by lots of positive comments. True, this cafe has a very nice decoration and you can feel just like at home. The service is nice and friendly. The food is, well, just normal. We went for two breakfest sets,...not too big in size and without any extravagant snacks. A small disappointment.

Traveling from the United States and this comfy little cafe was recommended by locals. An excellent breakfast with a great staff. We had Le Gourmand for breakfast. Menu states that it is for two people, but easily could be for three or four. Everything that we were served was perfect. My highlights were the cured smoked salmon and the croissant, but really everything was fantastic. Highly recommend!

I 'm not sure why this place has a high rating. The coffee and food takes an incredibly long time when they have 5 people working and as many customers. I went to the counter to ask why our paninis were taking so long and saw our sandwiches sitting on the counter next to the press while the employees were cleaning the counters, for what? I know 1 star reviews are seen as just a disgruntled customer and an isolated incident but I highly doubt this is isolated. I wouldn 't recommend taking the time to come here.
