Tucked away from the main tourists routes, this thoroughly charming restaurant offers not only good wine, but also excellent food and very friendly service. From fellow visitors of the restaurant, I heard that the hotel rooms are also very nice. Can only recommend very highly!

Ein uriges und sehr gemütliches Restaurant, getragen durch die Kerzenschein Atmosphäre. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war hervorragend, regional, geschmackvoll und mit Pfiff. Die Vesperplatte und die Schweinefilets mit Champions waren sehr lecker. Ein viertel Silvaner, Kabinett und trocken für 5.50 €…, wo gibts sowas noch. Unser Abendessen mit Getränken für unter 50 € und von hervorragender Qualität…Besser geht es nicht… Voir le carte

We spent a great summer night there. The food was abundant and very tasty. Very good German cuisine. The beetles were hearty and the steak to the point. Despite many guests, the staff was very attentive at any time, friendly and had a very good taste on the lips. We felt comfortable. The restaurant is located right next to the theater, which is why you can also watch the performance outside. The ambience is very harmonious. You can also sit here until the later hour.

It was my 60th birthday and I wanted a German dining experience in a more "local" atmosphere. I could not have ended up in a better place for dinner. We met "Herman the German". He has this huge smile and is a great representative of Rothenburg toward any visitors.The prices are very good. The food is more than you will be able to eat. I had the Bratwurst served on sauerkraut (wow ).
