"The Rheinecker Hof is located on the Rhine promenade of Volksdorf, right in front of the door. A terrace with about 40 50 seats and wonderful direct Rhine views invites you to relax. This is a traditional restaurant with German cuisine. The map is manageable with two pages, but there is something for everyone. Only the pricing is likely to be a little more reserved each 14, Euro for a hunter's carving and a salad, as well as 2.30 Euro for an espresso, seem to me a little too high. Very good, quick and friendly service by the head of the house. This is a mercenary, which is quite positive in the easy handling of its guests. The card came fast and the order was quickly received. The dishes were applied routined, as well as the empty plates. For my salad, several vinegar and oil varieties were offered to me. Peffer and salt mill were also placed on the table. The food We chose the large salad with roasted Roastbeef strips, as well as a hunter carving with pommes and mixed salad. Both dishes at 14, euros each. Geroldsteiner water was drunk in the 0.75 l bottle at 5,10 Euro, as well as after eating an espresso at 2,30 Euro. The salad was very tasty and contained next to div. The sauce was well tasted, the mushrooms were fresh (no can. The supplement salad was also made from leaf salads, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and green beans and was served with the yogurt sauce, which was also very tasty. Total thumb high for food. "Let me say upfront that this restaurant is quoted diamonds out of in the Varta restaurant guide. So we went with high expectations. Should at least have been Michelin BIB quality? Outside a nice mansion-like house, nice lighting, terrace etc. Cosy interior, cuddily...heated ..... warm welcome. Breathes the air of a gourmet temple. Other than à la carte the card showed one, three course menu at Ok, not expensive, but since the map showed very traditional plates too, apparantly not different from the ones on the menu, I thought: hmm, let's see what they can do for this amount And so, we took it. But it appeared they could not do much. First, came kinds of bread and different spreads on the side, nice. Then, for first course, a fresh salad accompagnied amongst other things, by raw quartered tomatoes, lukewarm asparagus and strawberrys. It felt like back in the Nouvelle cuisine, you still know? Main, a so called mediterranean braised lam leg, with green beans, braised tomatoe, an indifferent sauce, probably thickened with starch and some gratiné potatoes. Then a vanilla panacotta with strawberry and rubarb sauce. Well, honestly, these courses were not more than just correct home cooking. I can do better at my home and I'm not a chef. Coffee and thea, were accompagnied by minuscule biscuit. Ok, I admit, what can you expect for Still, I would gladly have spent some more for a more elaborate meal. Is Varta is to blame? Or is the crisis so big in Germany .....? Or was the chef out of inspiration? And also IMHO, houses like this one should not downsize on the quality and offer meals at a lower price in the hope to attract more customers. First they will scare away the real gourmets. And secondly, the other eaters will not come either, since they will not go to a gourmet institute anyway. Proof: other than us, there was nobody in the restaurant. Almost forgot: nice winelist, mostly German, but also a very well thought choice of French and Italian ones. It starts at but can also be taken by the glass."

"Family hotel on the Rhine, lovingly furnished and guided. We were warmly and openly received. It wasn't a problem. From the beginning you felt comfortable and welcome. We can only recommend this hotel, especially for people who want to seek peace, love wineries and stay in touch. Very good location, an excellent restaurant and great attention to detail. The love of the hostess to local food and wines makes a visit to this hotel a pleasure. Breakfast was very good, it is versatile and no mass production, individual wishes are received : The host takes time for every guest and gives you the feeling of confidentiality. The view and the atmosphere on the beautiful terrace on the Rhine is priceless, overlooking Andernach and if you are lucky, you can also visit the Geysir. From here we planned our hikes in the Eifel or let the soul dangle on the Rhine in the evening. Thanks Wirtin for these beautiful days."

"Have arrived in the evening without reservation. Unfortunately, the garden was completely reservated. We were set right next to the entrance. Unfortunately, after 30 minutes we have not been able to order drinks, let alone food, because no one has come. We were completely ignored. When my accompaniment complained and said we were going, we were told, well, it's so crowded out tonight. Sorry, it's Saturday night. if you know that it is full, you organize better or hire more service. At least the drinks could have been brought. That's how you lose customers."
