In Ludwigshafen's pedestrian zone there are unfortunately not many locals. At Alex, I've already eaten a salad. I still found the service better than in the Café Extrablatt. Since the ban on smoking you can at least eat free from smoke. The salad was always okay.

The quality of the controls is highly improved. The breakfast buffet can often be empty and the filling can take a quarter of an hour. This also applies to the cutlery. The plates used remain, even if you put them on the neighboring table, like to stand an hour. Unfortunately, the competition in Ludwigshafen is not very big.

I guess that was nix. I haven't been to Alex many times, but most of the time it was just average. But this time I chose the Cordon Bleu, I shouldn't have done that. I don't know what part of the pig this meat was, but it wasn't just dazzling white, but also tasteless and of peculiar consistency in chewing. We stayed with Alex for breakfast yesterday, the facility I liked was friendly and fleeting. The breakfast buffet includes yoghurt, cereal, good jam, various breads/browns, hot dishes (peace apples, sausage, bacon, eggs and sausages, home sausage, cheese plate, ham, boiled eggs, tomato mozzarella, antipasti and a good and tasteful selection for € 13.30. Absolutely bad carving, maybe the worst I've ever eaten. It floats on the plate in the fat (see picture). The pommes remembered more of a sponge, then at biting in them lost extremely much fat. The sauce has also been tasted. After I charged the food, I prepared the same dish again, but the second attempt made me wish. It was positive that the waiter, without asking himself, have the court of the bill.

Alex is OK. In Ludwigshafen maybe one of the nicest cafés/bistros in the city centre. Nonetheless, the Alex belongs to a chain and you can see that. There is no personality in it, the employees are students and students who work their job for their hourly wage and the card is 08/15. 3 points still give me not least that Alex has been successfully in Ludwigshafen for several years. Chain, comfort, central location So it is not unpleasant here, the deck chairs and the small round tables are quite cool. Huge menu: Something is wrong. Fully crystallized vanilla ice cream and a coffee that was probably too long in the refrigerator... That's really disgusting! Since our last visit, there hasn't been much change in the place. The disabled toilet is still not for closing. However, the light or Pear exchanged. A problem is still that there is no coffee flatrate for breakfast! Therefore, there is also a new price of €6.55 without coffee, still a discount price, because with a large cafe Crema for €3.80 you will be at €10.35 and for that I get coffee in other restaurants in Ludwigshafen. Otherwise, the food offered has improved qualitatively and there is something for everyone. All meals are fresh and refilled.

General: Top location right in town. The outdoor terrace also invites you to stay for the warmer season. Service: nice and attentive service. I've never been able to complain.
