a fantastic restaurant with attentive friendly staff. the environment is beautiful with many elephant and unusual small pieces. steaks are cooked on the grill before them by the excellent cook. the steaks were really wonderful, but the puddings were exalted.

This is a firm favourite. It has great decor, and you can watch your steaks cooked on their wood fire grill. The steaks are always amazing, cooked perfectly. They are served with really crispy chips and the side dishes are also yummy (recommend the macaroni and cheese). The desserts arent quite as special as the mains, but still enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!

fantastic eating at a not inappropriate price. came here on a Thursday night at our high-time dinner. fantastic service, but mention it was our jubilee and first night without our almost 2 years old when the reservation was completely ignored. also, on a Thursday evening, the castlebriand and tomahawk steaks had gone very fast, so make sure to come early when that is what they plan! an excellent place to eat the finest steak meal in berkshire! the menu is full of goodies, but the steak variety is excellent. the chef prepares the steak after her order, cooked for perfection on egg wood, right in front of them on the magnificent loggrill in the dining room. after cooking it is served under the infrared lights at the correct temperature “rested” and then. the place has a large ambiente with helpful and competent employees.

Absolutely appalling!!! Booked on 28th for afternoon tea for my birthday, on 29th. Received confirmation email but when we arrived we were 1)not greeted by anyone. 2)When we asked the girl behind the desk/reception where we needed to go for our booking, she just said “You’re sure you booked for today?”I responded, Yes. She walked off without saying anything and left us standing there for the best part of 5mins. 3)When she returned she said they had no booking and asked to see my confirmation. When I showed her she said “We need three days notice for an afternoon tea booking and you shouldn’t have got a confirmation. 4)When I asked what they were going to do regarding our booking, she simply...

got a tad early at 8 minutes and were graciously accompanied to our table. all very exactly together with linen napkins. I asked if we wanted to drink. then our orders were taken over. the chicken wings were juicy, tender and much meat! the BBQ sauce was excellent. delicious. the chef cooks the steaks on a cast iron rust on a wood fire. he checks the degree of cooking by gently pressing with his hand. the filet steak, medium rare, was cooked to perfection. the steak was reinforced with the highest quality delicate and tasteful by the smoke from the wood fire. the food was top notch and the service from the chef and waiter was faultless. attentive, friendly and friendly. we're coming back, of...
