Myself and my friend had an amazing stay! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and ensured that we had a comfortable stay. The Christmas decorations in the hotel were gorgeous and we were a perfect distance from visiting various attractions. The location was peaceful but still not too far from all the action. We will definitely return, thank you

We had an afternoon tea at this hotel and it was so lovely! They catered for me being a vegetarian, there was lovely sandwiches, a cheese scone and a sweet scone, with jam and clotted cream… then a selection of cakes, which were divine, we were full up and they gave us a takeaway box for our cakes we couldn’t manage… There was a really good selection of teas and the coffee was good quality Will definitely go back to this hotel for afternoon tea

Went here for afternoon tea for a special birthday and it was fantastic. The staff attention from the beginning when we walked into the hotel was lovely, and afternoon tea, in beautiful surroundings, with a choice of teas was the best we have ever had. Even when I had forgotten to mention a food allergy when booking it, it was no trouble and it was easily accommodated. We couldn't finish it all and they even provided a small box to take the spare cakes with us for later. I can't recommend this place enough, and if we ever come back to Edinburgh, we will have afternoon tea here again Voir le carte

We attend the Bonham every Christmas for a group lunch and it has always been memorable so I am a fan but this year was poor all round. Food was mediocre at best, tiny portions, no bread rolls, several plates were sent back as the beef was ****. At the price charged, it just wasn’t good enough and the portion size and quality was embarrassing . Service from the staff was pretty terrible as well, drinks took ages to arrive and 2 drinks orders never arrived at all, also saw some tension between staff exchanging angry words just by our table, angry staff should share their issues out of earshot of guests Very disappointing all round

This classy restaurant in a classy street in the classy West End of Edinburgh offers special Snoozy Boozy lunches at weekends: three courses (with four choices for each) plus a half bottle of wine for each luncher, all for £28 per head. Fantastic value, given that the dining room is elegant (not bistroesque at all), the food choices are different, exciting, beautifully presented and expertly served and delicious. My co lunchers loved every bite of every course. As seasoned, curmudgeonly lunchers, we could find no fault with Snoozy Boozy. And yes, we did … snooze when we got home. The Bonham is a gorgeous and tasteful restaurant in a beautiful and quiet part of town. The service is exceptional and attentive and we were there for our anniversary. The food was exquisite. My husband said it was a symphony of tastes and textures and he was not wrong. He ate vegetarian and each mouthful was delicious and interesting. I ate the lamb and it was succulent and tasty as was the black quinoa salad starter. There was lots of space between us and other guests. We will come again and so glad to be back after the pandemic. on entry of this lovely hotel(26th April), we were shown into the dinning area... clearly our reserved table still had people sitting on it. We were then shown into another room.... only us!! and seated into a corner where my view was a book case( and two inches of dust). Eventually a lovely waitress came over and asked us what tea/coffee we would like, then realised we had not been given a menu. we then got our champagne and afternoon tea platter, which was nice( maybe a bit dry). I would loved to have given feed back at that time, however we are still waiting on anybody coming back to see if everything was ok, or if we needed more drinks or anything. we finished got up and left... nobody s...

I am so disappointed with my stay at the Bonham, and we were so looking forward to it. We paid for a superior double and got put in a bog standard room... Definitely not worth that kind of money. The manager assured us this was a superior but their superiors range from massive and grand (as per the pics when we booked) to not very big or impressive (we suspect we were actually put in a townhouse double instead as this room looked exactly like those they had on their site for the cheaper rate). We had afternoon tea on 6th December at Bonham 's. As I have a variety of medical conditions I clearly and fully stated my dietary requirements on the booking. On arrival these were checked with the waiting staff, who assured me that the kitchen was aware of them and had complied with them. I requested no meat. When the food arrived, the sandwiches were wholly meat based. We asked for them to be replaced, which they were eventually with soft cheese and cucumber and some vegtable wraps. We had said that fish was ok but were not offered smoked salmon as stated was included on the menu. The scones were of a rock like and dry consistency and insufficent preserves for two people.
