"Absolutely fantastic! Everything about this restaurant was great. It’s an independent eatery with a chef who truly cares about his ingredients, resulting in perfectly balanced meals. The lamb was incredibly tender, and the beef practically fell apart at the mere thought of a knife. The dishes were so flavorful that you won’t mind spending money on them. We loved the smoked haddock and salmon fish cakes; their beautifully crispy exterior revealed a smoky aroma when cut open. The smooth pâté had a delightful flavor, and the tender beef and irresistible lamb were highlights of the meal. Thank you for the attentive yet unobtrusive service. We can’t wait to return and try more delicious dishes!"

"We live in Stoke on Trent but visit Deganwy once or twice a year. Every time we stay at the Quay hotel a visit to Paysanne is a must. The food and service are exceptional and the atmosphere generated by the host Cai is second to none. If you're ever in the area and you love good food you must really try this place...you won't be disappointed !!"

"An amazing little gem of a place! Recommended if you fancy pizza or pasta … so many places to choose here and we picked THE ONE to go! No booking, friendly service … Initial thoughts slightly more expensive than others … but!!! Worth every penny paid! "After almost 20 years visiting this little gem in Llandudno we ate there on Sat 24 Feb. On arrival we were very disappointed to see the usual fish board for starters and mains was all about steaks : 2 for £65 with a bottle of wine. Scallops a special together with a salmon and monkfish with mushrooms special. When we asked the waitress about the seafood she more or less said people want the seafood linguine. We asked about other fish ie crab, fresh Conway mussels, lobster, swordfish etc and she just replied it’s what we can get.! The scallops were tasty but a £5 supplement on top of the £35 for 2 courses. My salmon was just over based with garlic butter and the monkfish too herby with the seasoning and the mushrooms and tempura leeks made tge who dish greasy Such a shame as the place not at all busy and we sat as always downstairs in our costs. The wines were the same as when Don ran the restaurant. Next time we’ll ring ahead to see what fish is on the menu before booking"

"This place was recommended by one of the owners of the hotel we were staying at and we are glad we took his advice. The menu was varied and interesting including Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. I chose a Japanese beer that I had never had before and a green chicken Thai curry. The drink was acceptable but the meal was exceptional. It was the best Thai green curry I have had since visiting Thailand. My wife had a glass of the house white wine that was ok and ate beef with spring onions and ginger and again the food was delicious. To follow I had a variety of ice creams including one matcha green tea ice cream which again I had never tried before but would certainly have again. My wife had jasmine tea. The waiter was attentive and efficient and although he had a little problem with language we all managed to make ourselves understood. Food was well presented, hot and full of flavour. The whole meal came to just £39.20 which we felt was very reasonable considering the excellent, tasty food we had eaten. If you’re looking for lovely food and good service this is the place to visit."
