"Hi, I’m a foodie, and so are my wife and young son we all truly live up to the name. For the past couple of years, we've been hearing about an Indian restaurant in the UK called ‘Adda Hut,’ known for serving authentic Kolkata style Bengali cuisine. Yesterday, my family and I finally had the chance to try their food, and I have to say, we were quite satisfied. We would like to start with Kolkata style mutton biryani. The rice was light, flavorful, and moist, just as it should be. The biryani came with two pieces of mutton, one large potato, and an egg. The potato was well cooked and flavorful, and the mutton was tender and tasty. Overall, we had a great experience. If I were to rate the biryani from a well known restaurant in Kolkata a 10 out of 10, I’d give the biryani at Adda Hut an 8.5 out of 10, which is impressive for a place so far from Kolkata. We also tried their Luchi, Kashmiri Alur Dom, Kolkata style fish fry, and Mishti Doi. Overall, we had a really great time, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who shares our taste in food. I had a terrible service when I ordered a takeaway. It was so delayed and restaurant was not taking the delay seriously. Owner was very rude and he was ridiculing me when I was complaining about the delay as such this is normal in restaurant . Funny thing is that I have reached at least 5 minutes after the time given by Restaurant and they didn't have the manners to let me know about the delay and I had to waste my time waiting for a long time. Very disappointing experience. Went to restaurant and booked a table for 5 for a Saturday night. While we were there, we decided to take a dish home to try the food as we had never been to this restaurant before. We had a chicken dish but sadly the food was not of a good standard. The pieces of chicken were full of gristle, quite inedible and the chicken was tough. Not what we expected. Therefore it is no surprise, we cancelled our booking and went elsewhere.
