Wonderful food. Not huge portions which I am more comfortable with. Great service, even got talked into a dessert. Can't wait to return

Had an amazing Christmas lunch here , there were fourteen of us and no complaints from anyone. Food was great , good portion size , served hot and was very tasty. All staff were excellent , so thank you.

This is the most amazing place; the food is really excellent, unusual and beautifully presented. Not only that, but the kitchen appeared to be open all day even on a weekday (we arrived at 2pm). Highly recommend! Voir le carte

Underwhelming i think would sum up our experience, food ok but under seasoned especially the fish of the day dish, inner door required on entrance freezing cold blast when some one entered or left. Not what you would expect.

What a lovely little restaurant. It looks like a cafe but inside has the vibes of a family restaurant. The food was good. I’m not sure I’d go back for the menu it felt like the chef was trying to be super high end but not quite there but I enjoyed it. The service was outstanding! The wait staff were so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Overall, I’d def recommend it!

Although we were 15 mins late for our reservation, i was disappointed 1. I was not telephoned, 2. Our table was given away. We were offered tables upstairs and although no one was up there (no atmosphere) they couldn’t offer the bay table initially. Did feel forgotten upstairs but staff were very friendly when we saw them. Other couple that came into the room got served before us even though we were there 15 mins before them. The restaurant staff are really welcoming, the downstairs eating area has a really lovely homely feel. We were a lunchtime party of four. We had starters and mains. It was a bit hit and miss on timings, 2 starters came, the 3rd came a little later and the 4th probably the easiest being that it was houmous, took an absolute age. We then waited some considerable time for the mains to come. The food in itself was ok and good value, but didnt really reach our expectations and what with the slow service it was a tad disappointing.

Visited 81 after attending a work do pre covid, I had been impressed then and I’m happy to say that nothing has changed. After seeing the 2 courses for £10 advertised on instagram I booked the restaurant for lunch with two friends. The £10 menu choices were great, we all tried different dishes and enjoyed them all. My dhal and spicy pork was delicious, accompanied by a curious brew it was perfection! The staff were smiling and attentive, all in all a lovely afternoon. So good I made a booking for parents to have an anniversary lunch on Monday.

Last Sunday I went for lunch at 81 Beach street and it was a most enjoyable experience, partly because of the food and partly because of the warmth and charm of the staff. I had the roast beef (as did my friend) and we both agreed that it was delicious. I particularly liked the fact that the accompanying vegetables were served separately on a 'sharing platter ' as I really don 't like plates heaving and overflowing with food. I then had cheese cake which was OK but I really liked the ice cream (homemade, I think) which came with it. The staff were LOVELY...when I mentioned I was in Deal to visit a friend who was quite ill and in a wheelchair how much he would have loved to have come to the r... Voir le carte
