"I visited with a friend for a weekday lunch. We found a table easily. We usually have a light lunch of soup and bread. It is always home-made and flavoursome. There were 3 different choices of soup on this occasion. We chose chestnut and chorizo which sounded a bit different. We were offered a choice of bread or cheese scone to accompany the soup, and we went for the scone. It was delicious soup and the scone was equally tasty and extremely filling. Service was friendly. With a hot drink the bill was about £7.50 each which we thought was good value as usual. We will definitely return!"

I absolutely adore 26 Wilson Street Cafe Bar. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff always make us feel welcome. Benji loves being pampered there too.

Visited with friends for lunch. Friendly service. Great menu but £5 for cheese on toast really! Also food took ages to come and the place was practically empty

I recently met up with a friend for the first time in two years, all thanks to Covid. The soup we chose - chestnut chorizo with a rosemary focaccia roll - was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back. Voir le carte

I needed my morning coffee while waiting for a bus after taking my car the garage. I wasn't expecting to find anywhere, so being able to sit in a comfy armchair, in a clean, friendly cafe, and drink a delicious coffee was a treat. A good way to start the day.

I went in and asked what they could do for someone who was gluten intolerant. The woman behind the counter didn't understand what I meant and finally went to ask someone after I'd tried explaining it in words of one syllable. Gave up and went to Fields 2 minutes walk away.

I had a skinny decaf latte and a sausage and black pudding sandwich in brown, the sausages tasted like home grown pork ones used to be, yummy. The latte was milky but had a great coffee taste not just warm milk, excellent. I'll be back,as the service was friendly and efficient. Voir le carte

I had a mid-week lunch with a friend and also my 4 year old granddaughter. I always enjoy the soup at 26 Wilson Street and there was a choice of 3 on this occasion, I chose the pea ham soup (delicious though a little salty) with nice brown bread and a pot of tea. I also ordered a children’s cheese on toast (1 slice) and a drink of cordial which came to £9 which I felt was good value. We have been before and will definitely return soon.

My friends and I stumbled upon this cafe after discovering that our original dining spot no longer offered seated service, and we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. We received a friendly welcome and were seated at a reserved table in a timely manner. Three of us opted for the hearty breakfasts, while I enjoyed a delicious club sandwich. We all had a great time dining at this cafe and will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.
