1860 Le Palais - Menu

Accueil agréable et efficace, très attentionné malgré l'arrivée d'un grand groupe. Les plats sont corrects, manquent un peu d'assaisonnement pour nous. En revanche, excellents desserts avec un baba à tomber. Joli cadre.

J'ai eu l'impression d'être un peu piégé par les touristes. Le personnel est sympathique mais l'ambiance est un peu comme une cantine, avec des lumières vives et du bruit. La nourriture est arrivée froide. J'ai trouvé que c'était trop cher pour ce que c'était.

Restaurant/salon de thé agréable et bien situé en bas de la Canebière. Bon accueil et service correct. Plats bien présentés mais qualité moyenne. Raviolis trop secs, rumsteak peu tendre... Mais bonnes patisserie. Bien trop cher pour ce que c'est : panisses pour € ! Plat du jour peu copieux à € ! Gros appétit s'abstenir.

Visited twice in two days! Suffice to say, had the best meals there in Marseille. Food and service were excellent. Especially loved the prawn and avocado salad (beware, large portions), and the Tonka and Dalloyau cakes. My husband claims the gigantic prawns are the best he’s had in his life. Would definitely return if back in Marseille.

Me and my wife Got a good champagne to start with. Ordered Cesar salat and asked for a full portion of octopus with wild garlic. Both dishes were disappointing and expensive. The salad was without character and the octopus too salty and partially cold like it had been reheated! Ásked for cassis wine but got inferior Chardonnay wine and was charged 10.50 for the glass. Not recommendable place.

J'ai apprécié deux dîners dans ce charmant restaurant. Le personnel est formidable, très sympathique et serviable. Le menu est bon avec des options intéressantes. La bouillabaisse était excellente. Le poisson et la soupe étaient parfaits. Le poulet que j'ai pris avec des pâtes n'était pas à mon goût. Les pâtes à la sauce aux champignons se sont finalement révélées être un gâchis mou. Ce n'était pas bien présenté. Le dessert au citron était délicieux.

Après une promenade autour de la vieille ville et une recommandation, 1860 Le Palais était le choix du soir pour le dîner. Alors que la terrasse extérieure était disponible, l'intérieur était l'option préférée. Le code QR était assez facile à transférer vers la traduction en anglais, tout comme le personnel parlant un anglais parfait contrairement à mon français pas si parfait. Les raviolis ont remporté haut la main et un retour ne sera pas trop loin.

La nourriture était correcte, bien que trop chère. L’expérience a été l’une des pires que j’ai vécues dans un restaurant. J'ai fini par payer au moins 70 €, soit 80 € de plus que prévu, car la serveuse blonde n'avait pas la décence de dire qu'elle ne comprenait pas un mot d'anglais. Je lui ai demandé 3 fois le plat du jour, je l'ai confirmé, et alors que nous terminions le dîner, elle est venue en riant bêtement me murmurer à l'oreille qu'elle avait fait une erreur qui nous faisait 80 € de plus) et SANS même s'excuser. Elle a continué à rire pendant le processus de paiement et de départ. Nous avons quitté les lieux et ne le recommanderions certainement pas.

Had found this spot online and thought it looked good by the reviews. Got cocktails to start which were nice. I informed the waiter that I was allergic to egg and nut (in French and English as I know it can get mixed up with the language barrier) he repeated and said he understood. We ordered the buffalla and tomatoes to start, which arrived with pesto on it (wasn’t listed on the menu). Thankfully, before trying it assuming my nut allergy had been passed to the chef, I asked another waitress that was walking past if there was nut in the pesto, and she said there was pine nut (the original waiter was running around and I could not get his attention).
