"We came for lunch here and our first impression of the bright decor and comfortable chairs in the restaurant put us in the perfect mood for a relaxing meal. The menu is extensive and offered something for everyone in our group, including fussy teenagers. The food itself was delicious, the chef certainly shows her love of cooking in the dishes, and was enjoyed by all of us. The desserts in particular were outstanding. We had a very nice bottle of wine and to finish it off were pleasantly surprised by the great value of the whole meal. Service was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable especially when describing the local dishes which we were unfamiliar with. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend others to visit as it is located in a lovely part of the old town of Bayonne. Plenty of shops and small streets to browse around nearby."

"Cadre très agréable mais cuisine très moyenne, comme le service...2 cheveux trouvés dans l'entrée et un plat très gras. La carte des vins n'est pas à jour...on nous a servi une bouteille de vin 2012 alors que celle mentionnée sur la carte était de 2008, sans nous le préciser et en voulant appliquer le même tarif que la bouteille. J'ai connu cette adresse à l'époque de L'Annexe et pensait y trouver la même cuisine car une partie de l'équipe est restée. Malheureusement la Guincheuse est une déception."

"I read opinions that I have a little trouble understanding: it 's old-fashioned ! I say it 's charming and picturesque: You want a Buffalo Grill decor, go to Buffalo Brill! It 's a farm inn and that 's exactly what you expect from a farm inn. it 's expensive, seeing it 's a scam : 24 € all-inclusive: Unique menu because it 's family cooking: nothing frozen, only fresh and authentic home-cooked: A soup, nothing but you 're already well stocked, then plate of local charcuterie with homemade mimosa eggs with real vinaigrette (not findus), then 2 slices of succulent pork confit accompanied by zucchini cooked to the top, all accompanied by a drink included in the meal (me syrup with water but carafe of wine offered), a slice of homemade apple pie and the little coffee. All served by a most sympathetic little grandmother, untrained standardized at Etchebest. We refused to pay the 48 € requested for the two of us and gave 60 €, the price seemed so ridiculous to us compared to what we ate. We came across a few restaurants asking up to €68 for a simple grilled rib of beef, so when we were told €48 for the 2 full menus, we fell out of our chairs. Ah I also forgot to say that the frame is more charming, supporting photos. Do not hesitate to go there, and you will not regret. It 's a bit true that they 're a bit fishy in communication: A simple home cooking sign, prices not displayed and yet no bad surprises. Some go down this family hostel on google and frankly I think it causes them a really undeserved twist. I INVITE YOU TO GO THERE AND GIVE A GOOD ADVICE TO HELP THEM, they deserve it! "Tout était parfait, cela faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas été dans un restaurant aussi bien ! D'habitude, j'ai quelques remarques à faire lorsque je vais au restaurant... Mais là, il n'y a rien à dire. On dit que la perfection n'existe pas, mais j'ai vécu un moment unique, tout simplement parfait ! PS : Nous avons mangé sur la terrasse, et le jardin était superbe, c'est la cerise sur le gâteau."

"Petit jardin intérieur ....Petites assiettes (les quantités de spaghettis sont les mêmes dans le menu enfant et dans le menu adultes .... ) ... et en accompagnement les enfants ont le choix entre un peu de beurre ou un peu de sauce tomate ... et les adultes entre un peu de sauce tomate avec du parmesan en poudre et un peu de sauce avec de la poudre de truffes ...L'assiette de spaghettis est de mémoire à 13€50 .... un peu cher / contenu Desserts corrects sans plus (peu de choix) pour les adultes, une petite boule de glace pour les enfants Conseil : Ne pas se baser sur les ardoises avant d'entrer car la serveuse n'a pas envie (à 12h00) d'effacer les plats qui ne sont pas disponibles car "ça peut servir pour demain" ..."
