"Blink and you will miss this historic tiny restaurant, that is both informal and cozy, yet produces wonderful food. Make a reservation because it is very small. The chef is originally from Spain, and brings flair to French food. I was sola, and I was warmly welcomed, and had great service. The menu is on the chalkboard, so it is hard to say what will be there, but the clams with shallots and thyme flower were delicious, I had never had thyme flower and it was not nearly as pungent as thyme leaves. I also had the beef cheek, one of my favorite cuts, slowly poached to melting tenderness, then crispy on the outside, served with a brilliant side of onions and spinach cooked with mustard seeds, giving the beef a touch of the flavour of mustard, almost deli like. Yum! Lots of house wines to choose from, I trusted the host and was very happy. Not fancy, not pretentious, just good!"
