Nun wenn man soviele positive Feedbacks sieht, das Restaurant in ganz Winterthur auf 3 ist, dann erwartet man natürlich auch was. Und von dem Punkt her haben wir etwas mehr erwartet. Es war sicherlich überhaupt nicht schlecht, die Pasta war hausgemacht und gut. Die Vorspeisen waren gut, aber es fehlte irgendwie überall der WOW Effekt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und immer super bemüht, da würde ich sogar die volle Punktzahl geben. Schlussendlich ist es ein etwas überdurchschnittlicher Italiener mit klassischen italienischen Gerichten."

"Auf vielseitige Aufforderung sind wir ins HerrmannsEck zum Cordon Bleu essen. Die Erwartungen waren sehr hoch! Die ausgewählten Cordon Bleus waren hervorragend. Sie waren gut gefüllt, saftig und das Fleisch von guter Qualität. Die dazu gewählten Pommes Tip Top. Der Service war aber leider nicht wie versprochen. Eine Dessert Karte erhielten wir trotzt Aufforderung nicht und auch sonst schienen wir an unserem Tisch vergessen. Wir bezahlten dann an der Bar. Trotzdem werden wir wieder hingehen und auf einen besseren Tag hoffen. Die Cordon Bleus sind nämlich wirklich unglaublich gut."

"Zum 2. Mal haben wir hier gegessen und kommen eher nicht mehr. Pizza und Pasta waren o.k. Das Cordon-bleu zwar riesig und frisch gefüllt aber nicht mit den bestellten Zutaten. Der grosse Salatteller bestand aus drei ! Salatblättern, einer halben Tomate, 4 Scheibchen Gurke und etwas Mais, Randen und Karotten aus der Dose oder dem Beutel! Die Egliknusperli wohl schon länger im Tiefkühler gelagert und zu Tode frittiert. Der Besitzer ist zwar bemüht freundlich muss aber fast alles selbst machen- Service,Rechnungen,Bestellungen und Telefon. Der Koch hatte wohl gerade unser "Testessen" gekocht und besprach am Nachbartisch die Anstellungsbedingungen. Die Serviceangestellte war wohl auch den ersten Tag da und verstand meine Rufe nach Salz nicht- also holte ich es selbst."

"My in laws and I stopped in on a Friday night (no reservations) and the manager squeezed us in their packed house. The atmosphere was really warm and friendly. I ordered a steak while everyone else got pizzas. I'm not even a big beef eater but that steak made me groan on the first bite. Damn it was good. The pizzas were enjoyed by all. "This restaurant is just up the street from Hirt im Rhyhof where I was staying. A varied and interesting menu so everyone should be able to find something they will like. I had a mixed salad and chicken with pasta in a tomato cream sauce. Very generous portions. The greens were very fresh. Better than any side salad from a US restaurant. The pasta course was too much for me to finished but it was delicious. Prices are typical Swiss (high.) My meal along with a beer and a Coke Zero was 45-50CHF."

Hier stimmt einfach alles: Gepflegtes, ansprechendes Lokal. Der kreative Küchenchef Riccardo Tortora und der aufmerksame Servicefachmann Danny sind beide sehr kompetente, sympathische und sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Das kulinarische Angebot, welches auf der kleinen aber feinen Karte aufgeführt war, wurde uns von Riccardo Tortora persönlich erklärt! Nach erfolgter Beratung zauberte er mit seinem Küchenteam ein erstklassiges 5-Gang-Top-Gourmet-Menü und überraschte uns mit ungewohnten, interessanten, einfallsreichen Kombinationen – alles aus frischen und saisonalen Zutaten zubereitet. Das mediterrane Essen war vom herrlich duftenden Brot mit bestem Olivenöl, über das Amuse-Bouche, dem 5-Gang-Menü La Tavola, bis hin zum exquisiten Dessert (vom Dessertkoch persönlich präsentiert) ausgezeichnet und liess keine Wünsche offen. Die Teller waren mit viel Liebe zubereitet, jeder Bissen war geschmacklich und visuell ein Highlight für sich! Die Portionen waren sehr ausgewogen und in einer Leichtigkeit gekocht. Auch die selbstgemachte Pasta und einfach alles – ein Traum! Ebenso waren wir mit der Wein-Empfehlung sehr zufrieden. Hier wird dem Gast auf hohem Niveau zu gutem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis viel geboten.Wir kommen wieder und sind gespannt, was uns beim nächsten Mal erwartet. "We ate lunch at the US MEX this week. We were a group of eight people and had no problems finding a table even though it was lunch time. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was good and tasty, although not superb....Simply said you get what you order: not more, not less... However, price value ratio is good, especially compared with other Mexican restaurants in Switzerland. And the servings are really big nobody of our group left the place feeling the least bit hungry.
